I never gave him shit, but hand on heart, who on here can say they thought he was a good signing? Hell, I have him as my profile pic, and I can honestly say I was shocked we signed him. I thought he was (at best) over-the-hill, and frankly, just wasn't going to fit into what we were building.

He proved us all wrong. In fact, the same criticism (not from me this time) resurfaced when we got promoted "never done it at this level", "not good enough", etc.

Again, he proved us all wrong, in spectacular fashion. Has any player turned it around like he did? I think it fair to say he wasn't the most popular signing ever, but went from zero to hero to most of us.

Nice one Leon. You proved us all wrong, and you'll forever be remembered here. Good luck for the future.

Very disappointed to see the guy leave, don't think he's particularly lost anything since last year, things just happen in football and life. I'd much prefer him to be pulling on the shirt every week than madine, he still has a lot to offer.
Last year he was utterly unplayable in that game against hull, his movement was unreal, not often you witness an individual performance like that.

I said he'd be a good signing, but I have to admit that was when we were in League One and I knew he'd do well for us at that level. I wasn't confident that he should be a starter in the Championship but he proved me wrong. He will always be one of my favourites and one of the better forwards I've seen in our colours.
