If we get Hogan it will have been a great window. But also the team will be overall way stronger than last season imho. I really do think we can reach the promised land with this team. I would prefer automatic of course and it's becoming a distinct possibility. If we make the play offs which I think is likely providing we keep our form, I may have to start going to church. Anyone got a local line to GOD? It is Yorkshire tha knows. :)

Well when a player wants to leave you can’t stop them.

When a premier league team come knocking what can ya do?

If no one offers more money you had best take there initial offer in case you never get the same offer again. Happened with Jordan slew so must be true for everyone.

We need to watch FFP otherwise we will be in big trouble like villa, or even go bust like...

I am Praying I won’t be reading these excuses tomorrow morning when I come back on.

Well if it does happen and we sell one of our first teamers like JOC or Fleck for piss poor money, or even decent money come to think of it, we can console ourselves with the fact that the two clowns in charge will probably both end up bankrupt over the next five years, and if they sell in this window they will deserve it too.
It will be the only joy I've got left to look forward to as far as football is concerned

We have to trust what CW has said "Players will only go for silly money". Fleck HAS to go for silly money, as all players will go for silly money and we are no different. We all know though that West Ham won't offer silly money so Fleck will probably stay at least while the summer and then it all depends on where we end up.

For sure, there will be clubs in for our players come the summer if we are still in the Championship.

For me we are out on a limb at the moment in terms of finance, but at least no one can challenge the two owners for lack of funds for the final push this season. The danger IS mounting though as we don't have a mega rich owner(s) that can write these payments off. At least they are loan players and can go back if our challenge ultimately fails this season.

We just have to hope that CW & AK can make maximum use of the new players we've got. The back 8 picks itself so we have to hope for no injuries and hopefully few suspensions up until the next close off point in early March (think it's that for 10 bookings).

Be interesting to see how he uses the new players and existing players in the front 3 positions.

Top 2 is on for me - has been for a while - one game at a time.

All this talk of us insisting on silly money for us to sell our players is all well and good (and I agree with the sentiments), but how many of us know what clauses any of our players insisted on having clauses inserted to their contracts in order to sign them with us or else they refuse them and leave. We all complain about how cheap we sell players and blame those in charge (me included), but it might be that sometimes they can do nothing about it. It's shit but it happens.

As a financial advisor you might take delight from such.

However if we complete the signing of Scott Hogan, then with Gary Madine we have an £ 18 million strike force with the 2 new JTW strikers alone. So you should change your username to Top Players Arrive ?

Only average players Tom, only average.

I think and hope our players realise that some of them are playing at the highest levels of their careers because of the team around them and the spirit they have, something much more than individual ability

There’s still 2 days to go in the window MM so there’s no way I’ll be taking my nut guard off just yet. I’ve been kicked in them too often tha knows owd pal. :D

I would be absolutely disconsolate if we sold any of our first XI now at any price under £15mil. They're so very hard to replace in our system and by the time they're up to speed we'll already be well off the pace.

It's a well oiled machine, do not ruin it for the sake of a quick buck please United. We're on course for something very special.

An old adage but none the less valid for that. I’m sure that’s the way Tufty, One and the lads will approach it.

As a fan though it’s difficult not to think of forthcoming games at Villa, West Brom, Dirty Corrupt Leeds and the Piggery. We will need a decent return from these tough fixtures if we are to challenge for the top.

Can we do it? Of course, but we’ll need to excel ourselves.

I said a silent prayer before the Holy Grail in Valencia Cathedral before the Swansea game. God, if he exists, isn't a Blade.

I apologise for being too time-poor to spend several hours trawling various different threads, is there any actual evidence that Hogan is coming, Clarke is leaving and that we were ever at serious risk of losing Fleck?

I was expecting to see a green Confirmed this morning for Hogan but nothing so far, are the board holding back on the announcement until later when they can use it as a sweetener for the kick in the bollocks that often arrives on the last day. We all know how they like to pocket the money at the last minute so they can't spend it for six months ;)

January transfer window pah ........................ I'm just waiting for the annual kick in the bollocks.

Well last year’s JTW we sold Ben Whiteman, season before Aaron Ramsdale (meh), season before was it Higdon?

It’s hardly an annual event pal.

I was in Japan when we were last promoted out of the Championship. As a thanksgiving I contributed a few yen in bucket at a Shinto temple in Nara. I also wrote a prayer card asking for the Blades to prosper in the Premiership. It obviously didn't work.

Possible conclusions:
a) Deities aren't interested in football
b) Shinto gods can't read English.
c) A Spammer fan put more yen in the bucket than I did !

Yes pal you are right the annual kick in the bollocks usually follows the summer when all the season ticket monies have been received. Brooks, Maguire, DCL, Murphy, Jug Ears to name a few ;)

I hope its automatic. Because I'm on the isle of skye for a wedding for po weekend.......with a load of pigs
Or they're on the isle of Skye, and you couldn't make it due to illness..........travel sickness maybe?
Just don't get seen on tv!;)

Holy bloody what? That’s idolatry. No wonder it didn’t work.
