He wouldn't be cheap in terms of salary. He isn't going to replace any of the first choice back 3, he would therefore be replacing Stearman on the bench. Too expensive for that!

Have you ever seen Basham play for us? Jagielka isn't nearly mobile enough for that role.

Personal opinion but I think he is awful....gets caught out of position, doesn't read the game well, slow and awkward. the penalty against Barnet was a perfect example, Stearman was level with the attacker, he then just stopped for some reason which left the guy in acres of space and the "tackle" was clumsy at best but coming in from behind after letting an attacker steal 2 or 3 yards on you, it was always going to be!
