Oh shut up you fanny! He was an absolute twat off the pitch but how do you know what is character is like on the pitch or in the dressing room? I’m quite sure Wilder realises the shut storm it may cause but he doesn’t get paid to make sparky the blade happy he gets paid to get the club as high up as the table as possible and if he thinks Madine will do that so be it.

I couldn’t give a fuck what you think.

I pay my money for my season ticket, I do so on the back of what the club says like ‘we’ll be vetting players characters’ to make sure they are right for us. I’m perfectly entitled to express my disgust both on social media and in the ground!

Be interested to see who the 3rd signing is now.
.

I believe that the final piece of the January jigsaw is a new assistant manager to help out Chris and Alan during the run in, apparently Gary Megson is coming in before the QPR game. The two Garys are going to be presented to the crowd just before kick off. Bring your own balloons.

Disappointed that Madine hasn’t apologised for his behaviour towards the club in the past. If anyone sees him on West Street just politely ask him to get in a taxi and go home before he gets arrested.
hes not been in any newspapers for some time
perhaps hes grown up

Of course Madine isn’t a waster professionally.

Wilders best mate in football was the assistant manager of Bolton Wanderers when Madine was there.
So Wilder very much has the inside track on Madines character and his professional application.

CW has already said he does character/ personality background checks on every player he brings in.
Team spirit is massively important to his success and I can 99% gaurantee there’ll be no problem.

There was a similar situation when Ched joined, apparently some players would be appalled to play in his team. However the truth is they’re professionals and no one was appalled, in fact Ched was extremely popular and likeable amongst his team mates.

Can i have it before you do?

The slate is clean for me in terms of FOOTBALL - he should be given time to see if he is actually a reformed character. Prison might have changed him away from the dark side.

Yes, twat in the past and it's quite obvious we would have preferred someone else.

He's here now - it's about the team, not the individual and what you should all remember - Wilders signed him, so he obviously sees something that can benefit the team. I hope he gets 10 goals and helps create another 15 for Billy.

You know Madine personally do you? He hit someone some years ago and went to jail for it. How many misdemeanours since? I’d argue he’s been taught a very tough lesson.

Of course you’re entitled to express your disgust. Whether it’s a bit OTT is up to the reader.

I think it is.

Really ?

This is either a masterstroke or the wheels are going to come off big time.

forwards rartely cost us games , yes they miss the odd chance but rarely make mistakes that cost games, unless hes sent off
plus depends on how much game time he gets
cant see chris breaking up the mcgoldrick sharp scoring machine just now

I'm hoping it's a masterstroke by Wilder.

In the sense that he never intends to play the cunt, just have squad kick seven shades of shit out of him every day in training.

You'd pay a few thousand quid to kick the fuck out of Madine, wouldn't you?

Go on, admit it, you know you want to.

Actually my money would be on it being a fairly unimportant signing, someone who fades into the background when he fails to impress. That, to me, is the more likely outcome. A bit like Ched's second coming*. Which is why I don't see why they've decided to make this controversial move. Let's hope I'm wrong and he contributes after all this.

*Ooh, no, don't titter.

Well it’s certainly a weird start to the year, losing to Barnet and signing Madine !

What next, McCabe coming out of the closet and shacking up with Sam Hashimi ?? :D

Bonky Madness

Imagine if anyone had suggested we’d sign Madine and lose at home to non league opposition in the same week, you’d be locked up.

It’s still seems bizarre, almost perverted seeing Madine in a United shirt. I’m seeing it but still not really believing it.

He wouldn't be allowed to hit back though would he Koz? that wouldn't be fair would it.

I don’t mean in terms of costing us games, I mean upsetting the apple cart. Wilder has worked hard to assemble a hard working team without egos, I’m hoping Madine has grown up and fits this profile. If not then it might cause problems.

Oh well, I didn’t want him here and I still don’t but nothing is going to change it now.

I’ve said my piece what feels like a thousand times and I still think it’s a poor transfer for a club supposedly aspiring for promotion, a transfer that has done my head in from start to finish, not only by the club but our own fans turning on each other, going out of their way to make a case for Madine time and time again against posters who have been Blades all their lives, putting up valid reasons not to sign him.

It’s been a sorry affair for those that didn’t want him but all credit to Wilder for how he’s handled it, he’s under huge pressure now to make this work, good luck Chris.

He creates and scores what we want isn’t it?

There'll be a lot of 'Championship James Hanson' comments but he's better than that. He is a good player, despite everything, and you'll struggle to find a better target man at this level.

He can be very useful for us, there's no doubt about it.

There will also be a lot of talk about him being an impact sub.... nah, sorry. Maybe to start with, but Wilder has a more prominent role in mind for him than that.
But I have doubts about his suitability in our team. Because he'd have to be playing with Sharp, and are those two really a pairing? When has Billy excelled with a target man? He's better with a link player like McGoldrick.

I hope he's not our only forward signing, we need someone up there with pace and trickery. At least a winger.

Interesting to hear him single Fleck out. He's got good taste, at least.

Right.

Here goes.

On MULTIPLE levels of due consideration, I absolutely fail to see how SUFC is better equipped today than it was yesterday.

POTENTIALLY (and only that) it has the makings of unravelling an awful lot of good things that Wilder can rightfully take credit for over the last 2.5 yrs.

So to say it’s a bold move is the biggest understatement I may ever have made.

In Wilder I trust, and it is accepted he is not scared to make big calls when it is felt necessary.

Time will tell !!

That's the sensible point of view wiz.......and it's best to remember that Wilder has done this because he thinks it will help our promotion chances, so as much as I might share your grudging acceptance, let's see if Madine can actually help the Blades.
