I see some idiots are fuming with wilder today:(:) You must really be thick to not think changes wouldn't have been made? That 11 should beat most teams in the lower leagues on paper and also they deserved a chance to stake a claim in the league 11.
Anyone slagging CW off for today grow up it's the cup boo who.

The same people would have been raging if we started the usual 11 and we picked up an injury or 2...

People these days just love to be outraged.

Sure I just read Wilder is accepting responsibility.

Why?
Is it the managers job to train and improve the players to make sure they are ready for a match? Or is it the managers job to motivate the players to give 100%?
Ermmmmmmmmm...

To be fair to Chris, if people look at the thread team v Barnet before the game, most people picked the same team Chris did.

I'm going to cry myself to sleep tonight oh no  I bet your at least 50 year old plus... Move on

Don't worry about that young one, I've moved on. The empty seats told me that I'm old school.

I bet YOU ARE (rather than "your") 15 year old minus... Grow up.

You should be ashamed of thinking that it's 'cool' to mock anyone you imagine belongs to a specific age group.

If you're going to reply to other posters you should make an attempt to reflect, consider the points in question, and then offer something that borders on a coherent argument, rather than offer this type of childishness.

Not upset that we went out, League is our priority. But you would have to you feel a little nervous at the performances today and wonder if Suspensions or injuries happen before the end of the season, would the team today be good enough to see us through. I would say no. Some players just turned up for a kick about and got found out. Clarke, never been a big fan of his was Shite, strolling about not looking bothered. Stearman to slow and it showed as was Freeman on today's and recent performances I would get shut. Coutts playing intelligent passes for it to be played back, God I thought weir was back in Charge with the tippy tappy football going nowhere. football. Wilder must be wondering what the fook is going on and if this is the Squad that got us into 3rd in the league,
Roll on Saturday. Missed opportunity with a cluster of big teams going out. Jeesh....

People these days happy to take a loss to a non league side. Wow

Find a post where I've ever said I'm happy to lose? That lineup should have 100% been capable of winning the game today. The loss is completely down to the players, not Wilder.

Not having a go.. but how can you absolve Wilder of responsibility?

We will (I'm positive) agree he's a tremendous manager, but in what footballing world does the manager not hold some responsibility?

Our starting 11 let us down, not wilder. I'd have made umpteen changes for reasons of much needed rest to first team and to give chance to squad players. If they don't grasp that chance, says more about them than the chief giving them the chance .

We've played 3 games In a week. Lads are knackered. What first 11 would you have picked ? Would you also have expected wilders team to have competed, if not beaten a non league side ?

I'd have picked the strongest available team from the first team players based on injuries/tiredness.

Perhaps that's what the team was today. And if so, we may struggle through second half of season.

Easy when a fan to say that. But given fixture pile up and pressure of the league (and the 'on paper' poor opponents), i don't blame wilder in his managing of the squad.

So he's absolved of responsibility, fair enough. It's all about the League and nothing about the Cup, which has always been my point. Can't be bothered making it any more though. The Cup is worthless, League is everything.

The thing is, only about r have not played in the 1st team either from a start or on as a sub. They have ALL been selected to do a job in the 1st eleven if called upon. With that in mind, you can hardly say that they are a below standard pick to start and should have easily seen off Barnet. It’s down to the eleven on the field and not the manager.

If he had picked u23 team then maybe blame Wilder but.....come on!

I might be on my own here but I would rather win the FA cup than get promoted to the premier league.

Couldn't agree more.

I guess it's not as simple as that though, as promotion is within our grasp whereas winning the FA Cup is highly unlikely even if we'd played a strong team today.

I'd take finishing 10th in the Championship from now until the end of time if we got an FA Cup or two into the bargain.
