Have you spoken to any or making an unsubstantiated claim to make your baseless, generic argument fit with your personal view?

My mate who goes to 80% of Cardiff games says he's great at causing havoc with defenders and as a loan striker can hold his own. Not good enough for the PL but at championship level he was crucial to them finishing last season so strong.

In my view - just what we need.
The general consensus say hes crap judging by social media comments, but hey your mate loves a useless lump who scores sod all. Good for him that he likes prehistoric football.

You reckon we are more likely to win promotion with him? I don’t. Cardiff fans don’t seem to think he offered them anything and they don’t have the back story we have. I think from a footballing perspective that this would be a complete disaster. You can tell from here alone that many fans would be against this so it starts off as a negative straight away. Negativity from home fans in a football ground leads to defeats.

And moreover, Cardiff played football to suit his abilities. We don’t and shouldn’t.

So you Base your opinion on what others on social media say?

My mate loves a guy who helped his team get promoted to the PL by putting in performances which enabled that to happen.

I'll keep an open mind and wait til I've seen how Tufty plays him and what kind of tune he gets out of him before calling him names...

We didn’t play a style which suited that useless lump Hanson, but he’s widely considered a good signing on here (not me personally, we’d have won the league with or without Hanson).

Unlike the League One season, we are not a big fish in a small pond. We need more signings if we want to challenge Leeds, Norwich and WBA. Madine is far from my first choice based solely on football ability. However I’m realistic that Wilder is at a massive disadvantage in the transfer market compared to our competitors and unfortunately we have to settle for second, third and fourth choices.

I work with a Cardiff fan, says he's fucking awful. So bad, that they have been playing a left back up front instead of him (he is their only fit striker). He is a league one player at best. Done very little in the championship other than a few months at Bolton. Apart from the fact he's a cunt, he's not very good which is my cause of concern.

So why did he assault one of theirs too?

Too many conclusions being drawn from too little evidence in this thread.

According to what came out in the media, the Wednesday fan allegedly criticised his performances and the United fan simply supported the wrong team.

Whichever way you look at it it’s not good!

Because the bloke’s a complete cock who assaults people indiscriminately when he’s pissed. He was literally sent to prison for it, so the evidence was sufficient enough. He’s a serial offender and doesn’t seem to have calmed down.

A quick search returns several newspaper article results to this effect; Arson, GBH’s, ABH’s, using abusive language to men trying to do their work on the roads, abusing our Captain... There’s video evidence of him acting a prick. There’s multiple word of mouth stories from our fans’ who have had run-ins with him, or know someone who has. I’d be inclined to believe one of our own (as the Jury did), before I believed this cretins account of the events.

I don’t understand why people are making excuses for him. For me, his character (or lack of) is not in doubt. The only debate here is whether it’s a gamble worth taking. He’s not a good enough player for all this commotion.
Why do you call yourself ,Morgans Elbow ? Just asking like

So you don't someone like him would have been invaluable in the last 30 mins V Ipswich?

There’s a case for bringing someone with his types of qualities into the club, I agree. As an option from the bench. However, in my opinion, he isn’t a good enough player to risk our squad harmony and annoy the fan base for.

This, exactly this. Then there's the incidents that never made the public knowledge that also raise questions over his character.

But you've hit the nail on the head for me...why do people feel the need to defend him? We owe him nothing.

That’s the thing , get someone else that’s over 6ft (which seems like the reason he would be signed) not him.

Exactly. It's not hard is it? There's other options, without hiring an odious twat monkey dickhead of a human. He's not the only tall striker who is a threat at corners.

From what I gather ,at Bolton and Wendy anyway he is a very well liked player in the dressing room ,and the vast majority of the fans will take to him if he scores goals. He is putting a lot on the line himself ,but I feel like Ched he will be one of those characters that plays better when the heat is on. If he didn't play for us he would probably get snapped up by one our rivals near the top ,and he wants to play for us.

Stunned if true, has shown nothing but hatred and disdain to the club and fans for the last x years. Of course it might all have been an act but I'm surprised Tufty would even consider this. Can you see him and Sharpy playing together ?
Yes, if wilder thought for a minute it would cause trouble, he wouldn't even consider it. In wilder you should trust!

He's there to be thrown on as a battering ram type of player to bully defences... problem is a decent strong defender will deal with him easily because hes just not that good and not that physically blessed. Just a skinny coward who cracks people when they are not expecting it.... really hope we pull out of this one

Well it has caused trouble and split the fan base so he shouldn’t be considering it

Wilder's priority will be to get us promoted. He won't be overly concerned about whether any signing he makes isn't to some fans liking. He has a job to do and he will do it how he likes and ,based on what has happened since he has been manager, will believe that his judgement should be trusted

Surely a sheep follows the crowd?
Have another go.

Your opinion over the years has largely been don't question what the club does, or you're not wanted.

You'd make a great poster on NKT.

Think its more defending the club than him.

Think its more defending the club than him.
Maybe some, but I have seen numerous people say
- He's been punished for his past and deserves a chance
- He is a reformed character
- What's a little bit of GBH really?
- The media made it sound worse then it was (without evidence obviously)

A determined and bizarre effort to defend him and slag off fellow Unitedites in the process.
