Unfortunately I think it's a reminder of our 6 years in L1. We consider ourselves to be a big club and an exciting draw for a club like Barnet, and I'm sure a lot of their fans think it's an exciting tie, but I wouldn't blame any of them for being disappointed. We haven't even got an exotic foreign manager“We’ll lose and they’re such a boring side”
Yes i see how i could have misinterpreted it.
Perhaps Roygbiv could go back and ask him to clarify it lol.

I'm guessing the "boring" is referring to the draw rather than the style of play and it's hard to argue with. A club like Barnet will be hoping for a team from the top of the PL for a third round draw. We shouldn't forget that recent history makes it difficult for us to argue that we aren't a L1 club.
To be fair, from the comments in the view from, it seemed to be a minority view. As I say, I think we forget how our recent history makes us look in the eyes of others, perhaps combined with the lack of a couple of multi-million pound superstars in the team. Not that I'm saying that's right, just how some see things. My guess is that they would have been more impressed with a draw against Aston Villa or "FL's" Derby. When a conference side is disappointed to draw a current top six Championship club that they've never played before it tells you the magic of the cup is truly dead.
6th word in Sheffield. 7th word not United. Tossers
“Their first choice strikeforce is starting to click. Basham and Sharp have been scoring in recent games.
I know our style confuses people but Bash in not a striker
Away from those points, some nice comments re ground and crowd/atmosphere. Shame for Barnet and their fans they'll be no big crowd and I imagine the atmosphere will be flat to say the least.
“... our first ever visit to Brammall Lane”

And half our supporters can’t even spell the names of our players. Other supporters will call us Sheffield, just like some of us say ‘Bristol’ and many will misspell ‘Bramall’, just like Sharpe, Lundstrum, etc. Isn’t it time we got over it?
Somehow it's all a little bit disappointing without at least one "could of".2 "Sheffields", 1 "Sharpe", 1 "Brammall Lane".
That's the highest scoring card for some weeks, isn't it?
I can forgive them the "Sharpe" as I believe the writer was referring to Sean Bean's character in a well-known television drama. However, I can't forgive the same writer for conjuring up a truly awful piece that could well feature in Private Eye's Pseuds Corner.2 "Sheffields", 1 "Sharpe", 1 "Brammall Lane".
