A pragmatic approach would evaluate the impact his signing will have amongst the fans. It’s called social media hysteria, the witch hunt brigade.
Everyone these days has this desire to feel outraged, it’s the latest fashion.
Also in order to make a point more valid many people have this tendency to exagerrate their viewpoint.
A good manager should take a pragmatic approach, you need to be cool and calculated not emotional.
Wilder is obviously happy with our normal passing game (plan A)
But if teams sit back and prevent us from having space then our plan A struggles to create anything and we have no plan B.
Some have suggested our only plan B might to deliberately let the opposition have tbe ball and let them attack us (like Reading away).
Wilder must be aware that non of our attackers offer any height or physicality. We never look a threat during our numerous corners.
I reckon Wilder is well aware of Madines weaknesses, play him wrong and he’s league 1 standard at best
However Wilder would say if we play to Madines strengths then he provides us with a totally different attacking option.
I think he’ll be similar to Hanson, generally poor, mainly sub appearances but he’ll be the main reason we win certain games.
And them extra 6 or 7 points that Madine helps us win might make the difference between finishing top 2 and playoffs.
I despise social media for so many reasons, but being able to call out wankers for being wankers isn't one of them.
