Unbelievable view of the sending off

I've seen his tackle on YouTube, looks more of a red than I first thought. He does go in with two feet and does hit the guys shin aswell as the ball.

What i particularly like about this video other than the guys over the top enthusiasm, is the way he has used random pieces of foam packaging on his wall, who needs Ikea.

I don't want to destroy the magic but I think one possible explanation of this is that it's auto-generated content.

Somebody somewhere is trying to farm youtube Views etc and the attendant revenue, and it's quite likely the same video has been uploaded thousands of time each with different captions.

It may well be that it's part of a gradual process of machine learning: whatever gets the most interest is included in the next version. The fact that it cropped up in the recommended feed of OP means it's already had some relative success. And now we've all watched it.

The content - either this or a few iterations down the line - doesn't have to make any sense, it just has to game the algorithm and generate revenue.

I've no idea what all that means, but I think you're right. Still funny though.

Just shows how little Darwin knew when shit like this comes to the fore.

Maybe humanity has evolved as far as possible and is now in a race back into the swamp.

Speaks 5 words of English but Wilder still has a better rapport with him than the new Radio Sheffield bloke!

I'm taking this video far too seriously, but as it's come up...

I've no idea if the reference to Darwin is deliberate but I'm pretty sure it is pertinent: Machine Learning is basically a kind of natural selection. The program is let loose on whatever project its designed to tackle and the version that does the best survives, adapts, and evolves.

OP is the equivalent of a five-legged dog: a mutation with no chance of persisting, but somewhere sometime some version of its "genes" may well evolve and produce income for its "parents".

(Also, as I understand it evolution isn't the same as progress: it's just adapting to fit the environment. The fittest doesn't mean the healthiest, it's just the ones that fit in the best, for now. From the point of view of evolution humans aren't more advanced than, say, jellyfish - and, it seems pretty certain that jellyfish will be around a long time after the last human.)

This sort of barmy video was a Big Thing on the internet at the end of 2017, and I ended up going down that rabbit-hole.

I have taken this opportunity to share those findings with the world. I hope everyone's duly grateful.

Abso bloody lutely brilliant. Don't watch it.
