“Dean Henderson’s still a monumental bell end”

Did anyone else notice those Rovers fans complaining to the stewards and coppers at the front and pointing at Henderson after the third goal? Sour looses.
After someone threw a bottle at him too! Double standards

Cheers Roy. Seem pretty decent fans on the whole, nice to see a few "Sheffield's" back as well.

“Out of the two Sheffield’s, I much prefer the Wednesday one”

Oh yeah? Well out of the 2 Blackburns I much prefer City!

Classic secret Wednesday fan at the end there.
The obligatory pig fan comment at the end.........

Cheers Royston:)

It's a tongue in cheek comment, a compliment. He prefers the Wednesday one as they stuffed them 4-2 the other week, we've just stuffed Rovers home and away! Which one would you prefer?!

That's a tongue in cheek comment in relation to the wiganers..... oh who cares.

Had you said Burnley you would have been right.

I feel a bit sorry for the Blackburn fans, if the team I followed were constantly diving and faking injury I would be embarrassed. I do think if Blackburn had stuck to playing football rather than cheating they might have done a little better and earned a bit of respect, as it is they didn't and get no respect from me. Nearly as bad as the pigs but at least Blackburn had a shot before the 85th minute so I rate them a bit better than the pigs.

There game plan worked well never gave us time on the ball and go down to any challenge .We hung in there when bash got his red and once they lost a man there was only one winner.
We would have lost that last season

I saw two items thrown at him at different periods of the game.

I saw three things thrown at him. Two he moved himself that a steward came over and disposed of and then hendo showed the red the last object. Hope whoever did it get caught on the super hi-def cctv we've heard about and fined. Blackburn fans probably not heard about this newfangled technology so won't be expecting it.

Blackburn fans seem quite decent overall to me, certainly a marked contrast to the utter bellends from Bolton. I think a few of them seem way over the top in their criticism of the team. They are half a season out of L1 holding their own and they looked well organised and hard working if a little lacking in inspiration.

I'd agree. It was brave of Mowbray to make seven changes and leave Dack out ahead of their home game with WBA on Tuesday. They were 'at us' from the start and forced us to rush many passes. I wondered if they could keep it up for the full 90 but the ridiculous Basham sending-off changed the dynamic. Down to ten men and 0-0 with 20 minutes to go, I'd have taken a point.

Most of their fans' comments are borne out of frustration - like us last season, they've come a long way in a short time and will have blips along the way. They gave Leeds a helluva game the other day.

Fair play to CW and the team, yet another team came to Bramall Lane with a style designed to nullify us but we overcame it. And special mention to the 56k+ who turned out over three days.

I’d agree, too. Their matching our shape with 3 at the back meant there were often 10 players crowded into the middle third, which gave us (and them) precious little space to work in. This can cause us problems particularly if, like yesterday, Duff isn’t at his best and we lack an incisive spark to find a way through. In this respect, I felt that losing 2 players to the dodgy sendings-off kind of helped us, in the end, by opening up some space in which to play.

100% agree with that.

Despite a dip in the last few weeks we do look more resilient now. And this, among other factors, might be the key thing that helps us stay the distance this time.

Some great points made by that Blackburn fan (roversfan99).

I’ve often said our players are NOT as good as our fans think and if they were transferred to other clubs then they are likely to not play so well. many more players have much higher talent in this division.....this sounds like sacrilege that I’m pouring cold water on our players.

However let me explain.....Wilder has a clear system of playing where every player is coached and trains to play a specific role.
He doesn’t buy the best allround defenders, the best allround midfielder, or the best allround striker.
Instead he buys the players best suited to fit and play a specific role and he puts big importance on character to help strengthen the team spirit. So when we bring in players.....they might be underwhelming at their previous clubs but perform brilliantly at SU.

Basically Wilder puts into practice that “a well oiled team/ machine will always beat more talented individuals.”
