“It’s bad when you have to cheer on horrible teams like Leeds, Derby and Sheffield United every week in the hope Norwich drop a few places”

Imagine how bad it must be having to care about a no mark team like Ipswich every week as well... really feel for him at this time of year.

With Sheffield Wednesday facing a points deduction in Januray, added to Birmingham’s 15pt deduction that is still under appeal...

Is this correct?

In the last 60 years Ipswich have been in the top flight of football for almost half that time and, unlike ourselves, never been lower than the Championship.

In that time they've also appeared 12 times in Europe, won the FA Cup, UEFA Cup and were Champions of England.

They also provided England's two most successful managers.

So what if some yokel twat thinks we're a horrible club. Ipswich Town are not a no-mark club

Re Points deduction points.

DC mentioned at the Fans Forum it is a possibility unless he can find a plan. He said they had already breached FFP (I think last year) by 8 figures. So this year looks worse.

I'll try and go and find the tweet to confirm the exact wording.

Here it is. It came from Katrien Meire

P.S Cheers Roy, some good comments. Hopefully we can make our usual 40 min domination count.

Don't think they have won the league. I'm sure they were runners up the year Villa won it.

Alan Nixon has also just responded to a Wednesday fan asking if they’re up shit creek to say “be prepared for a surprise”

Hopefully there’s some meat to this

1st of all what, points deduction for Wednesday & this is shows how doomed Ipswich are they are hoping for others to be handicapped to survive but then as 1 says they are so bad it might not be enough

we should win this game but then we played doomed reading & struggled to a 2-0 win which was looking for vast majority to be 0-0 draw

That could also mean, "be prepared for a nice surprise", which would probably be some spozzy good luck, just like when they were minutes away from being closed down by HMRC and Milan turned up.

Thanks Roy.

Gee they seem resigned to their fate, no joy supporting Ipswich is it?

Nixon says it's not bad news but bizzare news. Apparently something unprecedented.
