Truly believe this is as far as we can go with our owners.

Nailed it.

That’s as good as what I could have written.

Wilder, along with Fleck and JOC, amongst others, will leave, probably in the summer because this club can not and will not match their ambitions.

We can all sit here and argue about how much KM has put in. For sake of argument let’s say it’s £90m (I’ve seen that banded around enough). He isn’t £90m out of pocket, not a chance. And if he is, that to me would amount to nothing short of negligent. Plus, what kind of businessman would hold on to an arm of a portfolio that he knows is losing money? You would get rid. All this ‘sell to the right person’ is bollocks as well. It’s his fault HRH is wanting to buy him out. KM put the option there to start with!! I could again argue negligence.

For me, we’ve hit the ceiling. We’re the equivalent of a fat kid pulling an 8/10 dolly bird. You know you’re never going to keep hold of her. It’s the waitin game of when she leaves for someone who can offer more.
Best analogy ever!!! Love it.

That clueless idiot McCabe was so lucky to wake up one morning & find Wilder had been appointed manager, by a purely random chance, behind McCabe's back, sent to him from heaven, without McCabe even knowing. So so lucky......

Let’s list the others he appointed.... Adams, Weir, Adkins

It’s heavily against. That he got Wilder and Wilder got us up isn’t genius on McCabes part. It’s ‘luck’. And it’s ‘luck’ because McCabe himself said all the other ones were ‘bad luck’. Just like Ched was bad luck (poor foresight more like). A chairman of a football club bemoaning luck. Think about that for a second...

There are far too many ‘pro-McCabe’ fans for my personal liking. That’s fine to all those who have seen worse. Anyone under 30 have seen nothing else, not properly.

Dolly bird = Chris Wilder

Exactly my point.

And the ‘fat kid’ is McCabe. Probably promised to treat her well, take her out, make her feel special. All the while undermining her, shopping at Primark and taking her to KFC instead of Nando’s. Eventually the dolly bird will have enough of that and go somewhere else.

I'm quite a bit over 30 & have seen worse (John Hassell/Woolhouse/Sam[antha] Hashimi/Macdonald etc) but at least they all buggered off when they had no more to give or public opinion was against them (or running from police). As you say McCabe is one stubborn assed Motherf###er & able to dig his heels in like my ex.

Bet she aint allowed out with her mates either cos she might meet her real 'Prince'.

I reckon Neil Wanock was a bit of rough off the local council estate that scrubbed up amazingly well!!

The problem we have straight away is who are these players, how much do they cost and would they want to come to BDTBL. Everyone is going to be looking at the same pot of players so a hell of a lot has to fall into place before we get close to signing anyone and anyone signs any cheques. Only then can we potentially criticise the owners but, in their defence, and Tufty always says this, we can't just throw stupid money at 1 or 2 players who may not get us where we want anyway.

We have got where we are partly due to team spirit, togetherness and having no big earners upsetting the mix. Bringing in 1 or 2 or 3 on more money with the wrong attitude could completely ruin what we have which is also a risk.

Tricky situation but my point is that it's not all about how much the owners are willing to pay.

But our players have got a good attitude, so why would it upset the team spirit if other players come in on more money ?

Every club has players on different wages, United use the team togetherness bollocks in order to justify their small time pathetic nature

The club really does have it made.
They can sell whoever they like and trot out the same bullshit about wages and not upsetting team spirit and the fans lap it up like lapdogs

They refuse to buy or loan better quality for the same reason

The only time that almost everybody on this message boards lifetime that we have had even a miniscule amount of success was when it was all about the manager
Bassett, Warnock and Wilder

It has never ever ever ever been about our players

Top words. I reckon i'm pretty good at my job but if the boss brought in somone better that improves the team & pushes us on another level then brilliant. It would inspire me to match the new fella earn a rise to match.
Only teams that trot out the same old crap about wage structures are either small clubs, perennial losers (Spurs being the highest profile example) or small mentality clubs like us.
Imagine Man City players having the face on if Messi was brought in on higher wages!! Like it or lump it or f##k off.

The only time United consider upping wages was for example last year when Villa were sniffing around Leon during his purple patch. Word is he's now on £12-15k pw plus bonuses. Until he's thirty fucking six. The result of this is that he aint going to be looking for a move anytime soon, the club won't be able to get rid and the cost of all this will be an obstacle to bringing fresh blood in. Seems we never learned from Doyle, Collins et al. I called this at the time and was met with the predictable derision.

One mistake or two shoildn't dictate any future dealings though. All clubs make mistakes but the ultimately successful ones don'r call it a day they just learn & try not to do it again.
Nothing ventured ..... & all that!

Nah, he was the bit of rough with a nob like Andy Murray’s forearm.

Better brickies earn better money. They can do more and do it better. Same goes for footballers.

Same in every job
There's different levels of competence and ability and different types of skills

I love our players, all of them. And I cant say in my 56 years that that has ever been the case before. They all deserve credit for their absolute commitment to the cause

But they've hit the wall, they've killed themselves getting to this level, but against the best in this division they are not quite good enough

This club is absolutely being held back by the board/squabbling chairman. How well we did last season was enough to tell anyone with half a brain cell that this team is close, it just needs that extra bit of investment. Anyone with half a brain cell should also know that CW is a top talent, and with a little backing would take this club to the next level. But instead of a forward march, we get internal squabbling and a club now lacking proper direction and leadership.

McCabe has made error after error, and his latest was letting the Prince come in (which has led to the current crisis). New owners, inpetus is required but we must look like a minefield to potential suitors right now.

We can only punch about our weight for so long. Without investment we will drop to the level our budget is paying for - i.e. lower mid table.

It's just so typical that right at the time when we are close to the big prize, our tin-pot chairman/owners fall out.

Really hate to say this Roy. You’re absolutely spot on with that assessment!!. Unfortunately I don’t see things changing in the next few seasons. I hope McCabe and the fucking bog roll prince are happy when wilder fucks off at the end of the season as he will get a better job offer.
My only wish now is that both owners do all us fans a favour and FUCK OFF. UTB
Yes I agree the owners aren’t exactly throwing money at Chris Wilder. But I suppose they are providing a stable hand on the tiller. Clubs like Derby Leeds and Forest have took a gamble. If any of them don’t achieve promotion this year, there will be a very expensive “fire sale” at the end of the season.

That Leeds team from a couple of weeks ago is full of young players. Regardless of if Bielsa goes off the deep end they'll have their time, lots of ability. It just feels like this is our last chance. We've hit on Egan, Norwood and McG. That's a great summer of business (Forget Brooks, it seems keeping him was never an option). Duffy, Sharp, Clarke, Basham, Stearman, McG - there's a fair chance they decline from here. How in the hell do we replace that?

We talk about 3 loans in Jan but we'll get outbid for our first 4 or 5 choices, even in that market.

If the board could find £5m for CW to attempt to bring in 2 starters (CM and CF) I genuinely think we'd have a better than 50/50 chance of top 6. As it stands we'll have to keep everything crossed that our best players stay fit to even stand a slim chance of getting there (We are due some bad luck against the worst teams. Preston, Millwall, Hull and even Wigan were close wins).

To summarise( :)) - what a waste it will be if we are unable to even attempt a real promotion bid. And if we do fall short, I think we'll look back at Villa as the high point of this season and Hillsboro as the high point under Wilder
It was an option to keep Brooks but Mr Wilder was promised half the money if we sold. Sadly this is now not the case....

.
would be a good point but hes not alone as a chairman signing shit managers
villa forest blackburn , bolton sunderland charlton derby and many more have employed some right planks

all managers are punts and on paper some had good cvs
many praised getting Adkins reet appointment was the cry
his drawback is hes not the most flush chairman, even if he put in everything he had in his bank it would get dwarfed by other chairmen
bemoan luck , name another club whos wrongfully lost their star striker 4 games from the end of a season to a miscarriage of justice or a rival club didnt get punished for playing 2 illegal players

The problem is the McCabes and the “Prince” aren’t on speaking terms and I feel this is permeating through to the management and playing staff. - So sad when we have progressed so far since CW/AK came on board.
