Another mistake

Norwood loves to play the Hollywood pass. He doesn't always look up to see where players are. He needs to be doing it long from that deep and nothing else.

The first touch is off
And so many chances to attack the penalty area aren't taken, preferring to go wide instead

Duffy got fouled near the right corner following a throw in because he turned back the wrong way when the run into the penalty area was on

We always get punished for our mistakes, yet we wouldn't be talking about that if we had real quality in the final 3rd. The way we play we should score 4 every game.

Plenty of chances missed to either get the ball in or have a crack from out wide again.

Fleck looking off it again.

Hopefully Goldie can push on and get another and win us the game.

As soon as Mcgoldrick gets tired, he just gives up!?

As soon as Duffy goes off the pitch or gets tired we start looping up pointless long balls to our towering front two. We stop trying to pass it around.

Its a fucking garantuee with us that we will always let in ATLEAST 1 or 2 more against the bigger teams than what we've bagged against them. Cant keep our trousers up and just end up having them go to town on our arse.

The passing just turns to shit, Fleck had a terrible game, Coutts n Norwood sempt to cancel each other out?, Egan and JOC were struggling second half, and the Johnson sub was stupid, idve brought young Smith on for Mcgoldrick and let him have a run.
Wilder waited to long for the substitutions toward the end too.
We should've been 3 up at halftime but crumbled after half an hour, that first stint was fantastic, they couldn't cope, but they did their homework as we burnt out, and this is when the age of our players kicks us up the shitter. Can't honestly see which 2/3 loans are going to make enough difference??

You know what I’d be interested to see how Beans and Blades Analytics summarise this game because in my viewing (maybe through the Blades specs) they actually made far more mistakes in key areas than we did. The difference - quality. Simple as.

Should we have shut up shop at 1-0 ?

Fleck was poor but we were vastly better with him on the pitch. When Coutts came on there were suddenly massive gaps in front of our defence. Norwood tired at the same time and doesn't really put a shift in defensively.

I'm fairly convinced Wilder hasn't got a clue with his subs. Johnson does nothing when he comes on. I really don't see the point. We needed to push Bash up and go to 3 at the back for the last 10 minutes. We hardly threatened them.

I assume we can recall Evans or Thomas? If so, surely they're a better idea than Smith unless Wilder's sole intention is to prove a point to the Board? Why put him on the bench and not bring him on?

As I said, Coutts and Norwood cancelled each other out.

Reminded me of the Forest beamback last season. All over them before a suicidal mistake from a midfield, then we can't get back into it.

That was criminal from Norwood but no doubt it'll be forgotten in short order.

Norwood is our new Coutts.

I am afraid there is no evidence to believe that Coutts will regain his form following that dreadful injury. Early days I suppose, but time is running out.

I am beginning to think that our lauded attacking system is not sustainable over 90 mins. Especially with an ageing front three.
