Been an absolute privilege to see Billy these last four seasons.I can't believe how anyone could criticise his effort and skill but a minority still do.I'll be the first to agree Bill seldom scores wonder goals but has mastered the art of losing markers and making that crucial run into space.Love the man...A Blade..like me...Long live King Billy!!!
He scores enough wonder goals for me, people seem to forget them.

His goal against Hull in the cup this season was insane.

Credit from me to CW - thought our management team managed the game fantastically well - great tactical substitutions, and that included Duffy.

If he could play 90 minutes of every game we would do it - he can't, it's as simple as that.

He should start Friday btw.

We move on.

Very good points, I thought we set up very well first half and i am guessing that Wilder/ Knills fear was that Reading had just sacked their manager, are in a poor run of form and sitting in the bottom three and that they may have set up to park the bus because it was effectively implemented by our neighbours. A point for Reading against a side in the top 6 at that time would've been respectable.

So in setting up the way we did, utilising Lundstram instead of Duffy was sensible, but that also meant that we lost some pace from the attacking midfield joining the attack and it was also smart to use Washington alongside McG, both of whom i thought were excellent in the first half.

We set up to invite Reading to attack, we gave them the ball and let them play, we're confident that we can break them down before it gets to dangerous and get on the attack, using the movement of wingbacks (and centre halves) and strikers on the counter.

There seemed to be a definite plan to change this Second half but we had to leave things as they were to start in case we needed to revert back. Introducing Billy and Duffy was excellent. Lundstram and Washington had done their jobs, Washington was unlucky to go off without a goal and of course Billy does what Billy does.

Last night, despite the performance being a little bit shit at times, in terms of passing and against a side with no attacking threat, the tactical intelligence shown and the use of the squad was perfect.

So would that be plan B, Swiss?;):)

Just out of curiosity, anyone know why he was so wound up after scoring ?

Perhaps he thought our fans had been quiet, seemed to be saying make more noise. They sounded loud on TV

Agree with that he scores tap ins yeah but some of his goals take incredible technique to execute.

Today was the 40th consecutive game where Sharp had scored and United had not lost and the 21st consecutive game he had scored and United won the game. :)

Can’t help being a pedant, but are you saying that the run consists of 19 draws, then 21 wins? In that order?
I suspect not. Still fantastic stats though!

That is spot on sir

I think Wilder and Knill expected a reaction from Clement’s sacking and thought they’d have a real go at us. I think there were expecting something similar to Brentford, hence setting up in a similar way.

Poor game to watch but a good effort from us to get an important result.

No he’s saying that it’s 40 games that Billy has scored in and we haven’t lost, but the last 21 of those games have been wins.

The previous 19 were a mix of wins and draws but this is a consecutive run of wins

Wow!
I gunuinely thought the stat was a run of 40 consecutive wins where Billy has scored and we have not lost - and of those 40, 21 were wins and 19 were draws.
Has he really had 21 consecutive scoring wins?

We've won the last 21 games where Billy has scored (starting at home to Bolton on Feb. 25, 2017) and the 40th consecutive game where BS has scored and we haven't lost (starting at home to Rochdale - 13th August 2016).

I thought it looked like we were setting up to draw them out, fearing the park the bus

483 games 211 goals, not bad for a Fat Lad. Forestfairy, the greatest footballer ever seen in Sheffield 275 games 66 goals. Wonder how much the pigs will get for him when he goes in January. Probably come down a little from the £15/20 million they were talking about a few seasons ago. Think they'd struggle to get £4 million. Same with Nogoals, bought for £10.4 million now worth about a quarter of that. Still think we should put a bid in for Joao of say £2 million.

The pigs can say what they want about him, id still take him over any of their strikers.
Is this even worthy of mention?!
Not even Wendy fans can seriously believe they have someone better than Billy. I can accept that Politicians might be so delusional as to believe the tripe some of them spout in the name of party "Unity" but I like to think football fans generally know the truth even though they won't admit it or have the balls to face it.
On reflection - Politicians and Football Fans are cut from the same cloth.....

I've never got foristieri
I've seen.him play loads of times and he hardly ever does anything ,seems more interested in getting players booked and winning cheap free kicks than actually creating a goal or a chance for a teammate
If you ask me he doesn't really want to be there
