I love GCB but don't think it works just before the kick off. I think it should be sung once, as the players walk out of the tunnel similar to "You'll Never Walk Alone". Get that godshyte Sinclair to welcome the "away team but make some noise for Sheffield United" then start the singing as the lads walk out.

We did also think about doing one in Belgrade or Zagreb.

Pricing could be better, for tomorrow's game it's £53 for six of us (1 adult, 2 u25, 1 u18, 2 u13), which is cheaper than the train fares from London. We would have gone anyway but now we can have a meal in Reading and a full day out. I've never got a discount for an away game before as ST holder, so is this United or Reading driven? Either way, sensible given tv, xmas, kick off time, etc.

I think the whole sanitised environment has made the supporters more and more passive. This in turn has cultivated an attitude of self-entitlement amongst footie fans. If your team loses you turn on them, they’re c%#ts, they’re scum.

You're right about that. Most of the atmosphere is in the pub before the game where you've got a bit more license to enjoy yourself. Once you're near the ground you've got SYP on your back and once you're in the ground you've got all the misery guts looking for something to moan about. Its like going to a fucking church these days.

Make as much noise as you want. I do, even if the play is not particularly good. But smoke bombs, fireworks, flares do not belong in a crowded area. It is as simple as that.
