I am not sure how they compare stat for stat and how much Egan coming in has improved us statistically as a team [i am sure the stattos on here could enlighten me] but from my humble perspective we do look more solid with Egan in the side and he just looks to be a better footballer.

In any case I think it is unfair to call him a waste of money. Even if Stearman was starting most games we still needed a quality, experienced back up as the likes of Heneghan clearly weren't going to fit the bill.

I didn't believe the Stearman position needed filling, I think he's a great centre back, particularly good at attacking the ball, and definitely a leader.

First few games I believed the Egan acquisition to be a mistake, but.......

From about Egans 3rd game - it started to get better and better and better. He is simply a superb addition, and no disrespect to Stearman who as I have said I really like, but Egan is streets better.

I believe Egan was super yesterday, Hendo made a mistake we lost, that's footy but we made Leeds look second best we deserved to win- why all this sour grapes crap.

I think Stearman is probably more comfortable on the ball in fairness.

In every other department I'd prefer Egan. Heading, crunching, etc.

I do like Stearman though. Took him a few games (much like Egan) but I thought he settled into the team nicely last season.

Wildly wrong?? We have conceded more down the pipe this season than we did at this stage last season with Egan at the centre. Everyone wrongly blamed young Hendo Saturday for the fuck up, if Egan could actually pass a football it would never have happened.

2. at this stage last season Jake Wright had played the majority of the games (including all the wins)

3. It was Hendos fault.
