Funny you should mention Bournemouth who have thrived with a young, innovative English manager, kept the core of ther squad that got them promoted (from leagues 1 and 2 in some cases I think), and picked up relatively cheap signings with good potential [sell on value] from the league below.

Probably not a bad model to emulate considering we've got the 1st piece of the jigsaw in place.

Unless........the money's in place, we'll use the TV money cunningly, £10mil here, the same there, maybe £15-18mil elsewhere, and a few £6-8mil players to supplement the rest. Who knows out of the current squad who'll cope with the demands of the Prem? So Wilder will learn to compete on the steepest of learning curves, and who knows where we'll end up? Maybe we'll follow the same paths as a B'mouth, or Burnley, or any number of clubs who've learnt what they need to do to stay the course. Or maybe we'll come down, our pockets full of parachute payments and we'll strengthen with a view to returning to the Prem?
