Not sure about DVD. But defo a CD of the radio commentary

The League Cup game definitely got it's own DVD, I don't have a copy though.

What a night that was. I took my brother in law who is a Southampton fan, who is now a bit of a Blade and even enjoys pig baiting his local Wednesday fan!

Does my memoir serve me right, bit didn't the dirty L@#ds fans smash up the upper tier and through chairs on to the pitch at the end

Yes they did. I thought it was in response to the 'Always look out for Turks carrying knives' song that was sung by H Block (which is where I sat cos I'm 'ard), to the tune of 'Always look on the bright side of life'. They didn't like that at all.

They did indeed, naughty boys.

Great night, felt like the first time I’d seen the Lane anything close to full for ages. Be interesting to know the last time we had an attendance close to that (before the Leeds game I mean, not since). Anything since the Coventry FA Cup QF? Maybe Sunderland at home in the playoffs that same year.

Bottom tier behind the goal was empty...

People can say what they want about Paul Walker, but that commentary of the last 5-6 minutes was exceptional and has for me gone down as one of my favourite Blades moments. Me and the nipper were in John Street that night and right behind Jags goal.

An outstanding moment something that goes missed a lot, was Terry Venables comments to Jags as he walked past whilst doing a TV interview. A classy moment from a decent manager and so close to winning the Euros in 96 - in effect if Gaza was 2 inches taller he would have slipped that chance in.

Football does create some great memories - and I'd like another one this season please...........PROMOTION. :)

What did he say?

Sure, but there was still 26k there compared to the 12-14k we’d been getting for league matches season before / one before that.

It was more in retaliation to the United fans invading the pitch

For once SYP got it right by not letting the bottom tier seats be sold

It could have been very nasty

Well, he was probably smarting as they had lost but he broke off from the interview as jags walked passed and complimented him on the quality of the goal. He seemed to mean it too, which was the nice part.

Class by him for that. You don’t get many people like that when they’ve just been done in the last 5.
