I’m not sure that you can really compare a manager who’s had 20 years more in the game and had 11 years with us Bill. Warnock is always going to have more experience than Wilder but that doesn’t necessarily make him a better manager, he’s just had more opportunities to get it right. He had to 3 good seasons with us out of 11.

To be honest I detested the bloke and his football, I hope it doesn’t show.

It took Warnock 10 years to get us promoted whereas Wilder has been here less than two and a half seasons. And by your logic then, Adkins and Robson must also be better managers based on their achievements.

It’s not just about experience, (IMO) it’s about the quality of football and how the person represents the club. Warnock was often an embarrassment to United and the football under him was shocking most of the time.
