Woodburn not even making the bench, or did you not notice that??

After a long spell off the bench, he’s been on it 2 of the last 3 games, or did you not notice that? Again, we have absolutely no idea what will happen in terms of injuries/suspensions in the next 5 weeks. If Duffy gets injured/suspended, he’d be in contention with McGoldrick for that role – a role we absolutely are not “well catered for”. There is absolutely no reason to just eliminate him from consideration before January, and the fact that Wilder is still willing to have him involved (despite his recent performances) should be indication enough that he is still in with a shot of playing.

Got a feeling that Woodburn is struggling since the pressures on him as it's his first loan with only a handful of Wales senior appearances before this. Had he been out on loan before he came to us he might have been that bit more confident that's just my opinion though.

It sounded very much like Wilder has made his mind up and wants Woodburn to go back - no doubt so he can re-invest the wages/fee (whatever the finance is for the loan) back into the squad. Woodburn will be a good player, but for whatever reason it hasnt come off for him here.

As said elsewhere, someone who can fill Duffy's shoes is an absolute must in January.

Ps that new RS reporter must have pissed in Widler's chips or something - Wilder is always snappy with him.

I noticed that too, and how many of those times was he brought on as a sub!??
And if Mcgoldrick also plays that position, and is first choice to fill in the Duffy role, why couldn't Ched fill in for Mcgoldrick, in the striking role?????

Because he’s not our player till January at the earliest. We can’t recall him till then. We also can’t send Woodburn back till then. That’s how the transfer window has worked for a while now...
