In almost every area you get one side who are really decent and other side who are the total opposite. Bristol Rovers fans came across brilliantly when we were in League One whereas City just come across like Wednesday. Not the same city but Derby and Forest are the same. Derby decent, Forest pricks. Ipswich sound, Norwich wankers.

It's also funny how the wanker clubs all stick up for each other on Social Media. "I prefer Wednesday to United" is often posted by fans of Bristol City, Forest and Norwich after they have played one of us and they all have this pathetic love in. Definitely some sort of insecurity issue.

Definite insecurity issues
Having said that I find both East Anglian clubs fans tossers
Ipswich carried on an internet war with United for at least 10 years after we knocked them out in the play off semi final

They had a survey on talksport about football rivals and Ipswich fans voted us as their most hated club, even more hated than Norwich

"Big" little clubs.

That's the simple explanation. When they believe they belong with the top six PL clubs, you know they're a subnormal bunch. It's just surprising how many there are of them.

I know what you mean with Ipswich but they don't suck up to other sides like the others do.

They feed off telling each other they are a "big club" who "deserve to be in The Premiership". They don't really believe it themselves so desperately try to be liked by the others in order to receive compliments back from them.

I remember the Coventry game a few seasons again when their fans were having a pop at us and Wednesday fans were saying "We support you Coventry". So embarrassing.

I See the typical Forest fan twat post in amongst that lot.
And Derby fans too , they are always quick to claim we are over hyped , which is strange since we comprehensively battered them for 45 mins this year, & twice last year!

We already know this ,it's the one thing holding us back the window is very important. As for the premiership no team goes up with a squad that is good enough to stay there .

Exactly, nobody going up is good enough to stay there, teams improve when they go up.
Always does my head in when people say we're not ready yet, what are they expecting us to do, sign a team of Premier League players whilst in the Championship

And Derby. Clearly an East Midlands thing.

I’ve been to watch Notts County at Barnsley with a couple of Notts fans I know this afternoon, and they was raving about how good we was, and what a pleasure we was to watch. I don’t think it as an East Midlands thing. Forest fans are just deluded fuckwits like their Hillsborough bosom buddies.

I don't mind a bit of bile. What I hate id when we don't beat Wednesday and reading loads about how we beat them in spirit , or they should be embarrassed, or we really showed them who is top dog.

We didn't won. All that stuff is nearly as bad as the winning 0-0 bollocks they came out with last year.
I hate posts like yours

Fair enough.

I just honestly don't understand the difference between failing to beat Wednesday and crowing about a great footballing lesson, and their lot wildly celebrating their 0-0 victory last year.

Might it be because one side plays football and the other celebrates a throw in?

Taking nothing away from the fact that the team that decided football wasn't for them got a point. Well done.

Hes nailed it with Fleck for me ,we were discussing this post match curry last night. Fleck is better with Coutts in the team as he plays shorter balls and Fleck can receive the ball deeper and run with it ,Norwood plays passes slightly longer and a bit more Hollywood and this doesn't suit Fleck. What we really need is a Mitrovic though , Clarke is a major concern for me ,I cant see him doing a good enough job for us.
You’ve nailed it for me.

We’re a bold centre forward short of a team that would rip up this league.

I thought this comment was also spot on

“Sheffield United overpassed it at times for me. In those types of games they just have to pull the trigger a bit more and hope for the best”

That's a shame

Might have battered them for 45 minutes but the aim of the game dear boy is to win. IIRC we lost!

No, but no one doubted Wolves a season ago on this point. Berk.

I don't know what that means

It means when Wolves were doing so well last year no one doubted they would stay there. Fulham and Cardiff meanwhile........ a different story.

Indeed managing the gap between the Championship and the Premier League is probably the biggest problem clubs face. Trying to recruit players and blend them in is just a nightmare. IMO Wolves did this well by recruiting the previous season. I just don't see at the moment how Sheffield United can bridge that gap given the squad we have. The main stumbling block to me isn't anything other than two co-owners who ...... well......hate each other.

The main stumbling block is who do we drop if we did sign some new players to get us into the premier league. For example there's been mention of Defoe on other threads. The likely reaction amongst our fans would be "well he will be good back up for Bily and McGoldrick". Similarly if we got a Duffy replacement, imagine the outrage if he was jettisoned. The biggest obstacle to us progressing is......ourselves.

Having seen Forest several times this season, there might be a subconscious element of showing solidarity with a team that plays just like they do. What the Pigs did last night is pretty much exactly what Forest did at Leeds the other week; conceding 75%+ possession and boring their way to a point.

That, and of course, the massive chip that Forest have on their shoulder about the Blades...
People of Nottingham are not capable of solidarity, subconsciously or otherwise.

Utter bollocks. Perhaps they consider people from South Yorkshire being incapable of being democratic?

Utter bollocks . People from Nottingham would stab their own grandmother's in the back for a couple of quid . Always have done and always will . The day I view anything said or done by anyone from that modern day gommorah with anything but utter contempt is the day hell will freeze over.

Fair enough.

Because one team played really well and one was dogshit?

I don’t think we should get carried away, but it’s easy and okay to take 2 distinct lessons from that game.
