I like him.

"Sheffield United are the outstanding team in the division, they work so hard for each other, they are capable of mixing the game up and play football with the best of them.

"We knew how hard it would be to come here, but they didn't have to do a lot to win the game, to be honest, and that's a massive disappointment.

"We had a few great opportunities, we got into good areas, but we are in an unforgiving league, and teams score goals against us without really earning that right.

"If we want to improve our away form, we must play a lot better than we did today"

There defence was too slow to play an expansive game.

With Duffy out they should have parked the bus more and try to frustrate us.

Pisshead from what I remember. He got kicked out of Casa after living there for a few months for shitting himself in the lift I was told.

Fair dos for his comments today but he’s always been a bit of a gobby twat in the past.

Always liked him. Plays nice football, always comes across as a decent bloke, always seems to speak highly of us and in hindsight, the job he did at Chesterfield was a minor miracle.

That said, I had no idea he’d shit his pants in a lift, so I might have to re-evaluate my admiration.

The claim went from being that he pissed in a lift on his way back to his room to “shit himself in a lift”, I’m inclined to believe the first one.

Any songs sung today about him soiling his trousers in an elevator?

Did that in a taxi once , no not shit just pissed all over and was that off it told the taxi driver as well had to be carried out by 4 people, phew that was a mad one back in the day. Dublin ehh brings out the worst in ya ( well Holstein pils did ) had to stop drinking it as it was giving me blackouts obviously

May well have been mentioned on another thread. Towards the end when Henderson was falling to the floor for every soft shot in order to waste time I noticed Wilder look away in disgust. Had then approached Cook and it seems he apologized for his goalkeeper's behaviour.

Think there's a great deal of respect between Wilder and Cook. Good solid English managers who may well not get a sniff at the big jobs but have given 100% to each club they've managed.

I thought Wigan were one of the best teams to visit the Lane this season. Especially first half.

They were more expansive than any other teams, almost gung-ho attacking at times
But the best we’ve played so far at home has probably been Birmingham City.
Tactically they out did us. Defending deep parking the bus so we hardly created a single chance all match.
Then last 15-20 surprise us all by attacking in numbers going for the winner.
On the night I was thinking I wouldn’t like us to play them in the play-offs, it would be the type of game we don’t like.
Where as Wigan were really open making the match like a game of basketball. It was all about which team could finish better.

Think it’s more than respect
the way Wilder was speaking during his post match interview it sounds like they’re quite pally and know each other really well.

Well he's bounced back well from that one drunken moment that none of us have.

At least Wigan came here and had a go where others just park the bus and hope to nick one on the break, so credit to them for that. I don't see them having any problems staying in this league they will surprise a few.

If Wigan could defend they’d be a seriously dangerous outfit. But they can’t.
Agree with that. They have a solid experienced squad. The number 2, Nathan Byrne, and the number 3, Antonee Robinson, put in the best collection of crosses I`ve seen in a game this season.
