Ollie Norwood

I've been his biggest fan since he arrived, but I didn't think he was quite at his best today, funnily enough. We seemed to play a bit more direct than usual and Norwood wasn't receiving it off the back three and starting attacks like he usually does. He was sloppy in possession once or twice, too.

But his vision and long-range passing are out of this world. Don't think he got an assist today but he really made three of the goals.

He really is a different class altogether. To think the majority of us lost our shit when we let Leonard and Evans go only to replace them with Norwood. Different gravy
I guess if someone had said lets swap Evans and Leonard for Norwood most might have said not a good deal but NOW not a contest ! Great business by CW

think this must of been the tactics. we knocked it over the top a lot and had their centre half running forward their own goal.

Really? Evans was shite and Leonard was versatile but limited. I knew nothing of Norwood but wasn’t upset to see either of them leave.

His incisive passing and vision to get us on the attack are great. He is undoubtedly one of our best signings of recent years. If he was perfect, I think he would also provide better protection in front of the defence. Maybe that’s why he’s not playing in the premier league, yet.
I also love how he looks to score: there’s no way he should have got anywhere near scoring from the free kick 10 yards from the corner flag, but it looked like the keeper was beaten and only an outstretched defender’s leg kept him off the scoresheet.

He undoubtedly made some good passes today and the one that led to Sharp's second goal was a thing of real beauty. He was particularly hampered in the first half because whichever of their two front players landed nearest marked him closely until the danger of a long highly accurate pass (e.g to flying full-backs) had gone. But gradually those front two lost concentration and energy and then Powell (?) was taken off and the rest because history.

From the kop I was right behind that deft, weighted ball with the outside of his foot

Just one word to describe that ball and the player in general ................................class!
i described it ss “jesus what a fucking pass’ at the time

Norwood has been the absolute difference for us. His assists must be in double figures by now.

He's a class act and really enjoy watching him play. Proper footballer.

What happens if he is a better player in the Prem than the Championship?

Can he step up?

No one knows yet - hopefully we'll find out, but do you not think he is deserving of that chance? Same applies to Fleck.

UTB

At the risk of playing devils advocate, I do wonder why the other teams whom he's got promoted have ditched him?
