Top of the league again, but as Jimmy Greaves said, 'Football is a funny old game'. The free flowing football from Tuesday wasn't there today and at times we looked poor at the back. Yes, Billy deserves his man of the match, but Norwood was exceptional, superb passing from him. What a player!

Difference between Tuesday and Today, one word ......

Billy Sharp :)

Couldn’t agree more. Bit shaky defensively but theought Enda was solid today going forward and defending. Bash and Clarke going forward were a real handful

Norwood exceptional? Really?

I swear he gets an immediate 7/10 for putting his boots on the right feet.

We were much better on Tuesday, largely because we had Duffy on the pitch. We were very average today but Wigan fancied giving us some easy goals. Fair play to them.

Is Basham suspended now after today's booking?

Apart from two superb passes for two of our goals!

Wigan were far better than Stoke, they aren't a bad side and will upset a few.
Yes agree. I thought in terms of our performances we should have beaten Stoke and drawn with Wigan but our strikers were outstanding today brilliantly served by Ollie Norwood.

James Shield says Norwood was a 6/10????????????????

Bash was excellent as was freeman.
Thought the midfield gave it away too cheaply .
Wigan for me were decent value and our scoreline flattered us.
Honest opinion.

Very good response, exactly what I was getting at.

You’re backing the wrong horse on this anti Norwood campaign.

Coutts will get back in the side at some point if he earns it, we don’t have to pretend Norwood is shit so he can have his spot,

As they say, over a season, fortune tends to even itself out ;)

Campaign, FFS.

You're jumping to some stupid conclusions. Don't try to guess what I think or want.

Funny how people see things differently, I thought freeman had his worse game for a while. And Basham not as good either! Thought Norwood was good today, there equalizer came from sloppy play from Oconnell with a hopefull pass into midfield. And stearman should have stopped that cross for there second all day long.

Agree with all of that, And Clarke will never hit a better cross with his left leg again even if he played for the next 20 years

Stearman and Stevens were not good defending our left hand side.

The watercolour painter lost his fine tips so went a bit more figurative, but in the end we've ended up with 3 points to hang above the fire place so it's all gravy.

Wigan were far better than Stoke, they aren't a bad side and will upset a few.

Stoke City tactics seemed to be keep it 0-0 as long as possible and pinch a late winner.
This meant they were far too defensive handing us the initiative, so we dominated most of the match.

Fair play to Paul Cook, Wigan must be getting fed up of losing away.
So they came to Bramall Lane very attack minded, almost gung-ho tactics resulting in a weirdly very open game.
Could have ended 5-5 but fortunately we won 4-2 thanks to Billy Sharp.

This win makes me feel better after being robbed by Stoke on Tuesday because you could easily argue we should have beat Stoke and drawn today with Wigan, so it’s ended up being the same 4 points.
