For Wilder’s honesty on Sky.

Pulled no punches and credited Derby. I feel better knowing he is feeling my pain!

I’m sure the players know his pain as well!

What did he say?

He said it as we all saw it basically.

We were better first half should have been ahead. They were better 2nd half.

Freeman should have closed down winger and centre halves switched off. Didn't look happy

So what changed? Wilder settled for a point judging by our 2nd half approach and subs so maybe he should look inside first.

We still lack a quality striker but thank god we didn't fall for Waghorn.

We were miles better first half (should have been 2 or 3 ahead), they were miles better second half. Their winner was from Freeman not closing the winger down and two centre halves losing Marriott. Lacked quality in the final bits of moves we put together.

Good run by Marriott to get on the defenders wrong side and a great finish.

Early ball in. Something Billy thrives on.

Sharpe took up plenty of good positions but the final balls were v poor.

No matter who might be upfront they all depend on good service, and it was lacking in the first half, and none existent in the second.

Shame for Billy they don't have defenders like Freeman that walk at 1mph to the bloke crossing the ball.

Set up for a draw, not with the team choice but certainly with the attitude.

Derby scoring after 19 seconds was the best thing that could have happened because at least it brought us out of our shell, otherwise I think we might have seen 90 minutes of that shit instead of 45

We stood off them to "keep it tight" but it ended up in our net after 19 seconds
We stood off them to keep it tight for the entire 45 minutes of the second half and it ended up in our net again

We went 1-0 up at Millwall, stood off to keep it tight and ended up 2-1 down before we started playing again
We went 2-0 up against Preston and stood off to keep it tight and they got back to 2-2 before we started playing again

Even when we didn't stand off until we were 4-0 up against the worst Aston Villa side I can ever remember we still conceded when we did let them have the ball for a few minutes.

Recurring theme Wilder, keep the ball and keep going forward.
This team can't defend, so don't go defensive in any game

Waghorn under Wilder would be a better striker than Waghorn under Lampard.

As well as a striker we need an alternative to Duffy who can come on and make an impact when Duffy runs out of steam or the opposition double mark him.

What annoys me with our defending at times is just how easy we sometimes let the opposition wingers get their crosses into our box.

I can live with it if it comes about cos our wing backs are caught out of position cos they are attacking. That's the reward and risk that we play. But it is extremely galling that we do that when we are more defensive and being pushed back. In that scenario there is no excuse for wing backs to be so narrow and close to our own centre half especially when their wingers are hugging the touch line.

If we had marked up properly and not given their lad the freedom of the wing, he might not have picked out a top class cross for their winner. At the very least it would have been a damned sight harder for their lad to control it and get the cross in, if KF had been snapping at his heels. Unfortunately, I have to blame Freeman for that goal more than the centre halves. It wasnt the first time it happened in the game either.

It wasn't really an early ball ,the guy had so much time to pick out their only runner it was almost a set piece
