Forest away and our away end

What’s actually happened in the last 10 years to reduce the capacity? The attendance against Wigan in 2007 was 32,604 which is about as full as it gets.

I can’t remember a single game where the away fans have caused much trouble, apart from maybe Millwall in 2011. The segregation on the BL lower tier really is ridiculous and the club should be seeking compensation from the SAG for lost revenue.

How many seats are in the BLUT lower? A lot of them seem to be covered by netting. What we need to do is find out what action we need to take to get rid of the nets.

It would also be great to be able to give the BL upper and lower tiers to away fans - not so much now but certainly if we ever get to the PL, as this will generate more income for the club. Is it true that Blades fans can't go on the Westfield if away fans are in the BLUT? If this is the case they should investigate potential methods of segregation like additional stewarding, a small fence and seperate entrances

Bramall Lane's capacity is currently over 32,700 but I'm starting to think that I'll never see it full again in my lifetime. We need those who insist on lowering the capacity to enter into a public debate.

We'll get sell outs in the Premier League because the fans of those clubs are all so well behaved and segregation isn't needed

Actually it simply comes down to costs. In the Premier league the PL pays for policing games, so the club don't have to. SYP can have as many as they want and everything goes much more smoothly.

In the FL it's up to the club to pay for policing, hence the bullshit segregation. It cuts costs.

Yes, some people would. Being from Birdwell he probably listens too much to his pig neighbours saying that we haven't got any fans and they average thousands more than us and believes it to be true
No idea who you are piping up but you sound like one of them.

With respect to the op it's the last thing we should even be discussing. We should make the away experience as unpleasant as possible especially by battering them on the pitch. Give them no encouragement and maintain the great initiative of looking after our own. The board get pelters for plenty. Keeping the BLUT for Blades is something they deserve great credit for. If we get promoted we'll fill it with our own anyway.
In short FUCK AWAY FANS.
I bet Tufty is squirming at the very idea of giving the bastards the slightest encouragement. Equivalent to shooting yourself in the foot. As someone above said, why not give them a 1 goal lead as well and how about a travel rug and cosy slippers.
I am an away fan.
I wish more was done in football by home teams/the FA/transport services to encourage more people to travel.
The thought of passionate away fans missing out to people's kids who aren't bothered doesn't sit well with me.

Police state I’m afraid , even tho violence at football is pretty much non-existent now

I still don’t understand why we only give away fans 2200 when it holds 2900, based on 10 away fans sell outs, we lose £200k of income.
It is ridiculous if it’s a police decision when you look at other grounds around the country where fans are segregated by a line of stewards

Forest actually sell season tickets on their lower tier, they wanted their own fans behind the goal to create a better atmosphere
So all clubs will only get 2000

Advice! !
Trying to purchase tkts for thr Forest game,we have over 42000 points. IFollow site saying i need 45000 points to apply today?
Site says Friday, 42000 required??

I reckon we should only give them 2,000.

Bit mean of Forest, given they have capacity.

HH

Think it updates at 9am, when the new "working day" starts.
Ahh that explains it then cheers. Logged on at 08.55 Saturday morning for Forest @35k+ and it was still showing 40k+.

I see our allocation of 2000 for forest away has been sold, and some of our own fans think we should be giving them 8000 when they come to the lane. The mind boggles :confused::confused:

Why not give visiting teams more than they give us? Can’t see much wrong with that tbh if it means more revenue for our club.

Someone shot me down on this one but I was just trying to make one simple point, mainly about the Sheffield derby.

Why don’t us and the pigs agree before hand to give each other the full away end? That would mean you get double the amount of true Blades/Pigs who are desperate (if you’ve been there you know what I mean) to get to the away game, the chance to go, instead of a paltry 2000/3000. Yes it means 2/3000 miss out in the home end, but those would generally be people who only turn up for the derby game, and then don’t go again all season (how many other games completely sell out?)

I deeply resent the presence of a single one of the filthy bastards at our beautiful home. Been to plenty of derbies at their stinking hovel and will never set foot in it again. It's s no from me.
