Not a happy chap when he came off. He was furious, kicking seats in bench area. Not even calmed down at full time. Not sure it's because he was brought off or because of change of formation that lead to their goals

I want him to be annoyed at being brought off. He would be dispppointed with everything as most of us were.

Our fans shout abuse to try and help the players win?! Strange I know but it’s what a lot of our fans do.

Probably angry with his performance. Seems an honest chap, will know he didn’t have a great game and will be frustrated with himself. He comes off every game so it’s not unusual for him!

I love the guy but truth be told today was not his best so it's probably frustration at his own performance, him being taken off and us letting the lead go.

He was too ponderous on the ball today and instead of taking a risk he let a number of attacking situations fizzle out, by holding back and delaying his next pass.

I actually thought he was pretty good today. He put a good shift in, always looked for the ball (as usual) and tried to keep things ticking along. He needs to play (or at least start) every game. Shame he didn't get the appreciative applause when he was subbed, but he was virtually on the touchline.

He was talking to one of the coaching staff and looking at his book just after full time. Seemed okay then but didn't halfvolley the seats when he came off

Thought he was very poor today, completely out of sorts, and I’d have taken him off sooner. But it happens to every player, I’m sure that he’ll bounce back.

He was right mid for PNE's second and should have been tracking the left back who cut the ball back for their goal, but completely lost him. Probably why he was pissed.

I thought their second goal came about as we tried to catch them offside. All around me on the Kop people were shouting "Get out, get out" as the ball broke loose.

The defence pushed out, one decent ball threaded through, quick cross and its two each.

Funnily enough, I didn't hear any of those who'd been urging them to "Get out, get out" say "For fucks sake, sorry lads, that was probably my fault, bad call" as the ball nestled in the net :(

Did that crowd clap for anything it sounded very quiet today.Maybe many were just too tired out and frustrated from the gridlock.

Spot on

Prior to coming off Wilder was telling him to come wide right and he didn't seem happy with this and kept pushing into his favoured CAM position (wilder and knill had to tell him 2/3 times). Add to the goals conceded once the formation changed and that probably explains his frustrations.

He is constantly dragged after 65 minutes.

The myth that is he is buggered at this point is complete and utter bollox.

No one is more aware of this than Duffy himself, who will feel he has more to offer and will be cheesed off to be consistently denied the opportunity to do so.

If that's he case he will probably be benched for a couple of games to teach him a lesson. Which could be a bigger problem.

I tell you what there’s lots of mind readers on here, I’m sure there’s still some call for you all at a seaside funfair or something

Go on guess what I’m thinking now ..........

Duffy was also on the left for Preston's first...

Wilder confessed we lost our shape in this period and it was important that the players realised what was happening. Our central midfield was all over the place and maybe we shouldn't have expected such an attack minded player to suddenly refocus and switch to a defensive/fight mentality.

My guess is that he didn't agree (or realise) that things were starting to go wrong, hence also disagreeing with the tactical changes following Johnson's substitution. Maybe he'll change his mind if he watches the game again.

He’s lasted longer than 65 minutes in every game he’s started this season and he lasted until the 85th minute on Saturday.

Has Wilder ever said he keeps taking him off because he’s tired?

Our pressing was poor all game, with the exception of 10 minutes at the start of the second half. I thought so at the time and have seen the game again which has confirmed my matchday analysis.Duffy is pivotal to this, so it's no suprise he got dragged and we resorted to a lower block and packing the defensive midfield areas. Our lack of a Duffy replacement for substitution and rotation purposes, could well be our undoing. We were playing a poor side on Saturday and won't always get this lucky. I fear the three game weeks when this becomes more of an issue..
