Let’s be right here. We and other clubs have been ‘resting’ players who’ve had a 2 week break and he’s played right through the IB and since, every minute of every game. The kid looked knackered in the second half, it happens, I’m sure the OP’s was just saying it tongue in cheek. If he wasn’t he can feck right off. ;)

Was that his twin brother playing tonight?! This thread is hilarious though. It happens. Take the point and move on.

Norwood played more missed placed passes tonight than Lundstram has in half a dozen games or more. However, I'm not gonna get on his back. Nor should we get on Lundstrams back.

Poor game all round tonight. They're in a false position, it will click and they will challenge top 6. May see that as a decent point come May.

Corners either looped up to high for everyone or hit the first defender
Long rage passes mainly over hit or intercepted
Second half continually gave away possession
After the last few games hard to believe it was the same player who never put a foot wrong, very strange

He was absolutely shocking.

Hit more wayward passes than he has in all his other appearances combined. Didn't fancy tackling either. And then there's the corners...

Fleck was also below his best, unsurprising as there's no way he could have been close to 100% fit.

Birmingham also did what they do, and made it tight in the middle and hard for us to play through midfield.

From the sublime to the ridiculous. Pray that's a one off.

Now know why he gets dumped by premiership sides appalling bring back lunny!!
Shut the fuck up, nobhead.

(I take it your post was after this type of reaction, as the alternative is that you really are that fucking thick).

I think all the people anointing him as already Coutts' superior got a reality check tonight. He gave the ball away more times than Coutts has since Wilder arrived.

Birmingham had done their research and stopped him playing. He's been compared to an NFL Quarterback, well tonight he looked like and inexperienced QB when the opposition take away their 'first read'. IE, he couldn't do what he wanted and struggled to adapt. Coutts rarely gets so flustered, you wouldn't have seen him spanking so many desperate balls out wide. I think he lacked a little composure - it's notable than as things weren't going his way in open play, his set pieces also went to pot.

It's just one bad game, he just needs to adapt more to the opposition sitting on him and he'll be fine.

Special praise to Birmingham though, they stopped us playing without resorting to shithouse tactics. They just closed down the space, stopped Norwood and Fleck doing their thing and snuffed us out entirely.

Spent most of the first half playing long balls from deep out wide, the first couple came off and after that kept going too long.

Second half was dreadful, worse than I’ve ever seen Lundstram or Evans play. How he was still taking all our set pieces at the end of the game I’ve no idea, they’d been awful all match and we kept letting him take them.

For the sake of balance, I'd say that 50% of his passes/set pieces were misplaced and 50% were excellent. He put over a couple of good corners first half that just needed a connection and the pass to Baldock (from which he should have scored) was sublime.

Just thought it was a flat and lethargic performance all round tonight, apart from Egan and Basham who at least defended well and Henderson made a couple of excellent saves.

Poor second half along with many others and what’s with the peach boots?

Now know why he gets dumped by premiership sides appalling bring back lunny!!
I agree, Lunny is far better and more physical. Norwood is just lightweight and passes sideways and backwards. Neshed about 5 tackles tonight. Bring back Evans, Lenny and Monty.
