Penis?Remember this guy's?
Hmm, Bash, Coutts and Freeman all signed about the same time, mainstays in our present team and all for the combined price of a packet of peanuts. FLN, what a fucking manager!
Are you trying to bait me?![]()
Just read blackpool fans thoughts on this. All seem happy he is due to leave, one offering to drive him here.
They're not all as bad as made out to be...

Except Robson & Weir.
Fair enough, here's how I personally make them out to be:
Warnock: 7.5/10
Robson: 1/10
Blackwell: 4/10
Speed: 5/10
Adams: 3/10
Wilson: 6.5/10
Weir: 2/10
Clough: 5.5/10
Adkins: 4/10
Wilder: 9/10
Would you have them down much different?

Blackwell and Robson should be minuses due to the damage they did to the club; two year’s parachute payments plus the Tevez money, all wasted. Weir doesn’t deserve 2, I’d be tempted to give him 1 for turning up but he may as well not have bothered so he’s a 0.Fair enough, here's how I personally make them out to be:

Mostly but Clough up to 7 for the cups and Wilder down to 8 but his is open ended as the job aint finished yet.

I used 1 as the bottom of my scale, so if it makes you feel any better, Robson got the worst possible score. The only reason Weir didn't get a 1, was because he wasn't as bad as Robson.
As for Blackwell, his squandering of a great budget was criminal - that's before you even begin to consider his style of play.
He was saved from getting an embarrassing 2 or 3 due to his "success" on the pitch - Maybe I'm being too kind?
I'd cut Blackwell a bit of slack as he's been OK as a manager's wing-man, as have a few other who were subsequently found to be lacking as managers, e.g. Kidd, McCall, Knill.

And THIS is precisely why I don’t give a feck about what selling fans have say about a player that they’re losing.Just read blackpool fans thoughts on this. All seem happy he is due to leave, one offering to drive him here.
Close to what I’d say, but rating Adkins and Blackwell as on a par?
Blackwell turned our season round when he replaced Robson and from looking like relegation candidates he put us to within an outside chance of the play-offs. The following year we were play-off finalists.
Adkins, had resources, managed to make some of the worst signings I’ve ever seen and managed to take a bad side backwards.
So although Blackwell managed to make a good team play awful football, he would probably get a 5.5 - 6 / 10 for results. Adkins deserves 3 - 3.5 /10
Sorry snooty, I'm not following.
I wouldn't say McCall was a worse manager than Blackwell either (though I'm not exactly sure that's what you're saying)
As mentioned above, Blackwell had parachute payments, yet decided to waste them on Darius Henderson and company. The relagtion wasn't his responsibility, but it was his legacy.
His football was always atrocious as well.
Adkins was shite too, hence the 4. However, he inherited an awful side from Clough. On top of that, he had a reduced budget from the previous year.
I'd say Blackwell had better results but the long term effect on the club was much worse.
Was going on the amount of bile that gets chucked his way when he's far from the worst manager we've had and did OK as our No. 2. His first season as manager was getting us out of the mess Robson created. His second got us to the POF's so there's a few plusses in there. The other three mentioned were chucked in for comparison because of their United credentials as No. 2 but have managed to retain their credibility as it wasn't at United where they were abysmal as managers.
You cannot say that turning a season around like he did post-Robson, getting to the POF's then finishing 8th set United up for relegation. His football was dire (though not always) but his legacy wasn't relegation. That's a bit too far fetched.
He started the relegation season, so it was his squad that got relegated, that's what I meant by his legacy. I don't hold him responsible for us getting relegated, but he has to take some blame for assembling the squad.

He got fired after how many games that season? By that logic Wilder should have been fired last month.
As usual it was Mr McCawber who went back into panic mode and appointed disaster after disaster as Blackwell's replacements, each one being a cheaper option than the one before. You can hardly attribute any of that and the end result (relegation) to Blackwell.
