"It's such a disappointing trip having four hours up and four hours back down"

How were they travelling. By mule?

I thought that. Or they're the only two paid up members of the Taunton branch of the AV supporters club.

God knows what we're putting in the pies in the away end, the 1st two villa fans were 'loose'.

‘we’re a premiership team’..
‘good little team’ (us)
villa fans you need to get over this right now.. the quicker you do, the faster you will progress.. you are a huge club steeped in history but the table doesn’t lie
i speak with some authority in this as does every Blade on the planet

Most comments are great. But what's this bollocks I keep reading on here about Villa fans' arrogance? Not that I think from Roy's trawl that most of them are, but they're a little bit entitled to think they shouldn't be in the 2nd Division.

They lost the Play Off final and are now in their 3rd season here. Prior to that they had 40 consecutive years in the top flight (apart from 1 season), in which time they won the League, were runners up three times, won the League Cup three times, FA Cup finalists twice, had 17 seasons in Europe and won the fucking European Cup

Yeah, I feel for them a bit. Other fans used to get that impression of us in League One, that we were being arrogant and entitled, but the fact was that we were a big club down there, could attract good players and managers, very competitive budget, and yet we were watching some terrible performances.

I've said in defence of games we've lost in the Championship that we have no right to expect much better given our budget and that we only came up here last season. Villa have no such excuse. They've come down from a higher division, they've had lots of money and spent big. They have no right to win games because of who they are, but as fans they're entitled to say after a defeat like yesterday that they should really have more to show for the investment they've had.

I thought United played really well, but Villa yesterday looked to me like a side which had lost a play-off and retained its manager.

If you lose a play-off, you need a new man in charge.

Villa's board has made the same mistake that Chansiri did.

One of them suggests Wilder as their next manager on their forums...

The reply “nah we want someone who would have the respect of all the players”

Deluded or what.

Though we know which circles he must be moving in.

I'm sure Owls fans will be making their recommendations. ;)

Villa do draw a lot of support from well south of Brum - Gloucester is full of em!
But Villa are a pretty big club, even if they are not massive like our swine neighbours ;)

This is not really a thread about the shit going off at S6. Take it to your porktalk forum see what your fellow fans think.

I was writing more about the proverbial going off at B6. And judging by yesterday's performance, there appears to be a lot of it going off.

So Gloucester is to Villa what Barnsley is to Wednesday. ;)

I really would do but I'm away. If anyone else wants to take over then go for it

"Their defence do this really strange thing where they head a ball, or clear a ball, and they aim it in the direction of a midfielder.

..and that midfielder expects the ball, and is waiting for it and in a position to receive it.

Weird"

"The Sheff co-com just saying that ‘Villa just lump crosses in and hope......we try and work our chances’. Spot on, mate."

"Not surprised Jack lost his cool there. This ref has just let SHU do as they like"

"Meatballs for dinner tonight, very excited."

"Neil Taylor giving Kodj shite for not passing to him.
I wouldn't have passed to you either, you're shit."

"Even our cat has got up and gone out, actually cried to go out"

"Completely schooled by less talented players. No plan, no imagination. The players look like they don’t want to play for the manager. Change needed, now."

"Our squad is worth like 10 times what Sheff united’s is and they smashed us too bits

Another pathetic performance, no chance we are making top 6 let alone top 2 imo."

"I have a villa jersey hanging in my office. It was given to me by the club and Stan Petrov signed it. It’s hard for me to explain to Americans why I support what is now a shit team. I don’t know how you guys that live in the midlands can do it.

When the team you support is shameful it’s not easy. We will continue to bleed supporters, or the ones that still bleed claret and blue will just grow numb. We MUST turn this around.

Bruce out is only step 1. But it’s an essential step 1"

"[On Grealish] Difficult circumstances but he was very poor yesterday, not for the first time this season. He hasn't brought the best of himself yet and he's not showing premier league quality to say the least"

I disagree mate.

Bruce is a good manager and a decent human being. I like him because he’s got integrity.

He will have Villa challenging for the top two this season, despite this humiliation.

He was humble and respectful in defeat. I respect him for that.

The football on display from them was pretty primitive, I thought. Pass it across the back four and then have the full back pump it down the channel for Kodjia to chase. Meanwhile, our team of guys no one had heard of played football the way it’s meant to be played and looked like world beaters.

I think you might be right that Bruce is a decent guy but it made me realize how lucky we are to have CW.

25 years of squad numbers, and he got them all right - even the ones where the questions were wrong.

5-4 we’re going to win 5-4! Great chant at 0-4!

Proper football fans.

Nothing better than us bringing out the black humour in real fans.

Cheers Grafik.
