Who is our most influential player?

If Fleck plays well, we play well.

If Fleck and Duff play well we can score 2+ against anyone in this league

What was the question?

Fleck for me. We miss him dearly on the rare occasions he's unavailable.

Aside from Fleck, Duffy and O'Connell have a big impact on the way we play. Norwood is on a path to becoming as influential- he certainly has been so far.

You could also argue in terms of influence on the other players and the club as a whole, no one gets close to Billy.

If Billy keeps this link up play going and can stay fit he becomes our main CF in front of Clarke.

When Fleck went off today and he was injured before that we lost our impetus, i hope that answers the question.

Norwood is class though.

Fleck.

Can’t say Norwood yet, it’s too small a sample.

Fleck has been our driving force for 2 seasons. When he plays well we look good at the back and good going forward because he’s fucking everywhere.

Its the sum of the parts you idiots.

Edit: But yeah, Duffy

Leaders all over the pitch.

Basham and Sharp set the standard for passion and effort.

Norwood keeps everything calm and controlled.

Duffy and Fleck keep the ball moving with pace and purpose.

Egan and JOC provide a reliable and solid back line allowing the others to play.

And 2nd and 3rd in line for the armband weren’t on the pitch today.

The biggest influence? Mr Wilder.

Duffy, Duffy, Duffy! Other players may be technically more gifted but no one makes us tick like Duffy! His creativity is better than any other player, makes us better by a million miles.

Norwood. He allows the others around him to play their game, like Coutts did before him.

He’s also transformed our set-pieces to the point where we look like scoring just about every time we get one.

Good question.

And it’s depends largely on how your perception of “best” player and most “influential” player differs.

For example, the Premierships best ever player, for me, was Henry.

The most influential ? Mad Eric.

So it can be different.

If you ask me influential, then I would suggest you look no further than the point we hit rock bottom, trailing 0-3 at H/T at home to Sarfend in Div 3, and the point we hit the top spot in the Championship last season.
