You've got to be really, really posh or one of the Sloan set to get the pronunciation right on that one...

It's Scat Hoy Gone :D

Surprised someone really, really posh like Pinchy didn't get that actually.....

I’m a man of the people, mate.

Slightly off topic but Nixon has said that Villa have confirmed no "outs" without any "ins" first.
Do we know if they are anywhere near getting anyone in up front?

They were linked with Abraham but he didn't fancy it apparently presumably we're waiting for another to sign Hogan.

Daily Alan Nixon update.

Says hogan not moving as it stands... don’t think this is new info presume villa still want someone if before he can go anywhere.

Let's hope Villa don't get anyone in then.

Ebony-Jewel Rainford-Brent.
How horrendously perfectly modern is that?
Saw her on 'woman hour' or whatever the fuck it is on SSN and instantly knew that name would take some beating. It gets worse too, there's even a double-barrel middle name but I'll spare you that.
She was the only girl in the family, so her parents named her after her grandmothers & great-grandmothers.

Just wait until the Wright-Phillips kids get together with the Oxlade-Chamberlains....

I’m sick of saying this now but Hogan won’t be going anywhere as he isn’t fit enough to move to anyone.

My thoughts entirely. Maybe Wilder knows that he's near full training and plans to run him hard in the international break, play a behind doors game and then have him on the bench in three weeks or so. If Wilder really likes him then he might be prepared for a few weeks to wait for Hogan to get up to speed. Personally would rather someone match fit and not with the injury record of Hogan.

Ah well...

We’ve done quite well out of the unfit, unsuitable and too fat brigade in the past.

Coutts was unfit. So was Williamson. Gillespie was unfit and unsuitable. And Shipperley was too fat.

It’s the way clubs like ours get bargains.

Hogan is a young slip of a lad.

I’d risk it.

If it’s Hogan or no one which for some stupid reason we seem to have put ourselves in the choice of - we HAVE to risk it.

We don’t have a choice.

What a ridiculous position to find ourselves in.

The good old stubborn pursuit of 'qualiteh' (British only), regardless of how unrealistic it is, has put us here.... but that's to be commended apparently, as we watch the plentiful realistic options slip away....

Gambling on getting deals done late in the window, being a club who refuse to pay over the odds in any way, is sheer idiocy. It's never worked out for us.

We should have forgotten about Hogan and pursued alternatives ages ago - and I'll maintain that even if we end up getting him, because it will only be through luck if we do.

Do you really think Wilder will gamble what's left of his budget ?.
Course not !!,he's said all along he has to be cute the way he spends it ,can't we trust him now ?
As for doing things on the cheap!,he said he wouldn't put the clubs future in jeapody.
you sound good at spending money we havnt got Ricky. !!

If we're so set on Hogan and no-one else, where did the rumour/comments about Fletcher come from?

Some more than likely BS ITKer sending me DM's on twitter saying Hogan was at the lane yesterday, and the photographers / ball and a scarf etc is on the pitch ready for the photos. I smell BS
