Cartman, you have lost it a bit mate.

(Don't take this to heart, Eric...I saw the gif and couldn't resist :D)

No. We should sign one of them as they are at best competition for a first team place and at worst better than Caolan Lavery. Simple as.

A play off chasing team which is what I believe we should be aiming to be cannot get by with 3 strikers.
So what if Wilder doesn’t fancy them, they aren’t a fit into the way we play or the the club won’t loan him and demands a permanent transfer? I keep asking you but you don’t answer.
WHY WOULD/SHOULD WILDER SIGN SOMEONE HES NOT INTERESTED IN OR WHO DOESNT SUITE OUR STYLE OF PLAY??

Well, Hemed and Wells are 2 who are loans so they're clearly not permanent transfers.
I think Chris should have been interested in Wells, whether he was or wasn't. And he would 'suite' our style of play as he's a good player - and also give us an edge on the counter attack which we don't currently.

Hemed unquestionably.

Has Wilder ever said he hasn't got the funds? There's been no suggestion from Wilder that he isn't being given enough money to spend.

I think given the players we've been linked with, and the fact that we've (seemingly) had to move on from primary targets, it's evident that we probably need a bit more money to achieve our ambitions.

No body knows anything except the club. If we do not sign anyone, I believe Wilder will have done everything in his power to get something across the line.
Don't be so bloody daft.

His pie's in the sky and he's got no ambition.

Haven't you even read this thread?

;)

One has only been given a squad number out of desperation. It's quite clear he isn't part of Wilders plans. He didn't even start a pre season game
Totally agree..... but does that mean we should also sign someone out of desperation Roy who probably also isn’t part of Wilders plans? I’m in total agreement that we are playing a very risky game that will go down to the wire and we could come out of it with nothing but if you went to a restaurant and couldn’t see anything you liked on the menu you wouldn’t order something you didn’t like for the sake of it would you?

This transfer window you've basically had a meltdown, drowning in a potent mix of anger at no signings and ropey transfer recommendations.
Ah, I'm anything but angry right now. Disappointed we haven't signed some good players who we could've? Yes. But angry? No.
I will be come 5pm tomorrow if we havent, but then again if you're not I'd question your mindset.

And you don't believe the players I've mentioned are better than Lavery???? Interesting...

On the Wells front, I have heard that (god knows why) he's actually one of Burnley's best paid players, which may be something to do with why we weren't in the frame.

But QPR are in the financial do-dah, surely they're not in a position to spend big. And given we're willing apparently to cover Hogan's (alleged) 35k a week, we are willing to spend a bit on wages.

It's a bit strange.

I once snorted pepper for a joke so wrong person to ask.

WILDER NEVER WANTED THEM OR THOUGHT THEY WOULD SUITE OUR STYLE OF PLAY. I didn’t realise you were a better manager than Chris. If only you’d been available 5 years ago

I won't be angry, even of we don't sign anyone else.

If we want to make the play offs, I think we'll need a striker. After the turmoil of the ownership wrangle however, I would consider any scenario where we ride the storm, while staying up comfortably and keeping Wilder a success.

I don't think QPR are actually in a financial do-dah though: I think they're bringing down costs, but seemingly they're still in a position to spend more money than us.

How does thinking a certain player/players would be decent for us mean someone thinks they're a better manager you mongo.

And suit. Suit. It's fucking Suit.

Do people honestly believe that wilder or the club are not trying thier best to get a quality player in, we were told a striker is our top priority and that we had money available for him, keep your powder dry till it’s over...

I’ll make a prediction though, if we stay true to form and don’t get it over the line, we will spend the next few months asking, where has the brooks money gone? ....

Not sure, I think they've spent cos they're desperate and know they can't spend in January.
One would hope we could've matched what they were spending on Wells IF (jesus, I'll stress if) we were interested. Not that I'm saying we were as I don't want to be accused of thinking I'm a better manager than Chris.

He might be a better 'player', but Sharp will score more, which is the primary objective of a striker.

I would have liked us to have signed Hemed to have partnered Billy, but if we are talking of whose the best to get results, it's Sharp. Shame we missed out on two good options to QPR!

We keep missing out on these players in whom we haven’t the slightest interest.

Junior Computer Managers know best.

Fucking hell United.

People will no doubt accuse of you of thinking you're a better manager than Wilder or worse based on the ongoing theme of this thread - seems people really have it in for you at the minute.

I agree in a sense that before the season, I would've assumed we'd be fishing in the same waters as QPR, but considering how they've kept hold of Freeman and managed to sign not only Wells, but Hemed too, I can only assume they have more money than I thought.

Can everyone please not reply to this Cartman person as he replies to every comment and the whole thread has degenerated to infinite repeats of the same comments.

Nothing I can’t handle. Water off a ducks back, and no one listens to Pinchy anyway.
