Oliver Norwood song.....what are they singing? (vid)

It’s Crystal Palace anthem “Glad All Over” with Ollie Norwood instead of the Glad All Over bit.

If we start singing that shite I’m packing it in.

Really? We should stick to singing (very badly) the same two or three drab anthems simply because they’re ‘ours’? Disappointing stuff from one who usually contributes admirably or do I misunderstand you?

It’s a dated dirge which is already synonymous with another club and has been for decades. If you’re going nick something, it ought to be worth it.

Apologies derfblade.3 if I was a bit harsh there, it’s just not for me.

All football songs are re-cycled between clubs. It’s about making as much noise as you can to support your team.

This exclusivity nonsense is nothing but affectation. No wonder we play in the Lane Library when we’re not racing each other to see who can finish our limited repertoire first.

A new chant good or bad is often sung with passion, especially after a good win /performance

I don’t know but if anyone starts squeaking a horn like that, I’m out.

The problem is that we have a good repertoire of songs without having to nick these from others, we just sing the same 2 or 3 over and over.

I'm with you Rodders, it reminds me of the 1997 Playoff final where it was played as-nauseum after the final whistle :(

What a dreadful game of football that was. The marginally better of two awful (on the day) sides won.
Aye - we only had to be ok on the day to win but couldn't manage it. Didn't we have a few injury issues pre-match ? i do remember when Hutchison went off after that freak injury thinking that we were doomed.......

Shows just how far we've come....slowly but surely we're building a squad of good to very good players, capable of competing with supposedly established teams. Early days I know, over 40 league games left so who knows what will happen, but this is a team that does so much more than walk out of the tunnel and then disappoint. As we all know, still need strengthening in certain positions, but it's important the players receive the support they deserve. UTMB!

Yeah it's definitely starting to click - i reckon yesterday was the best all round performance from us since our best games last season. It's certainly the best this year. That Tufty bloke and his team know what they're doing, contrary to what some of us think from time to time :)

I'd like to think 'they' are a noisy minority Large. Can't recall who, but whoever said that if you can't handle the tough times then you won't be able to enjoy the good times was spot on.

For me the best manager we've had for a few decades. Can't recall when we've had the appearance of a club that could possibly do far better than many imagine, but one game at a time mate. Villa will be interesting, they have pacey forwards, plus that weasel Grealish (actually a decent player when he puts his mind to it), but nowt to be concerned about, let them worry about us!

I think he is and will prove to the best manager we've ever had.
I enjoyed the bassett era given I was young and excitable and I had a love hate relationship with warnock.
But this guy is special.

It's a rubbish song that will forever remind me of a certain play off final. So it's a no from me.

Those who were at Wembley in 93 would struggle to sing that for any of our players. Was Blackpool's 'go to' song during their rise to the Prem as well. For those reasons, 'I'm oot' :)
Erm,didn’t they play that at Cardiff too??
Stand to be corrected
