How about we play the system that’s won us our last two games, took us to a fighting chance of the playoffs last year and pissed the league the season before? Worth a shot surely?

Or , putting it another way , the system that led to us conceding more goals than any other in the top 10 last season and has already resulted in us conceding 7 in just 4 games so far this season - one more than the combined total conceded by Borough , L**ds and Brentford in the 10 games they have collectively played so far .

If that doesn't make you stop and think , I don't know what will .

PS - we've only kept it down to 7 thanks to the heroics of our wonderful new goalkeeper .

It's bindingly obvious that when our wing backs are winging they're not full backing and that's where we get clobbered game after game, down the flanks on the counter attack. It's not helped either when this happens and our central defenders go into Quick Quid mode because to put it bluntly, they are fucked trying to cover the flanks and the centre at the same time. The back three are too slow to play in a 3-5-2 at this level.

We actually conceded 7 goals in the first 4 games in the division below. Playing four at the back.

Hendersony
Baldocky
Stevensy
Flecky
O'Connelly
Bashamy
Lundstramy
Clarkey
Sharpy
Woodburny
Egany
Wrighty
Leonardy
Couttsy
Norwoody
McGoldricky
Freemany
Stearmany
Bryany
Duff (cos apparently if you have a y, you lose it when you're being one of the lads)
Laffertyy (He doesn't, cos he's not that laddy)
Moorey
Eastwoody
Norringtony-Daviesy (wasn't sure where the "y" went)
Parkhousey
Hallamy
Laveryy (also not laddy, barely gets a shirt number).

Not sure we'll get away with this formation though!

So that's it then, a back four consigned to the history bin because we lost 3 games with it 2 years ago in a different league with different players over the grand sum of four games. So by that logic we should never have played with a back three ever again then after conceding 11 goals in a similar sequence against Fulham and the following 3 games?

My point actually was the amount of goals conceded doesn't necessarily mean we would be better. The poster I quoted was taking more out of those stats than I was.obiously doesn't mean we never can again but
As a side note we are actually further away suiting it then we were back then as in that time we have signed players based on this formation.
