Reckon we’re a quality striker away form a solid play off squad on paper when couttsy comes back plus Norwood the only missing piece will be a decent striker.
Still rate Enda Stevens but think Marvin Johnson’s will be great competition and more attacking .

All we need is that missing striker , really reckon we should go all out for Ashley fletcher under wilder playing regular could be quality . UTB

Very optimistic. We don’t know the extent to which Coutts injury will impact him. Personally I think we have a minimal chance of a play off place, expectations need reining in a bit and then the disappointment at a lower mid table finish will be lessened.

It's more about our style of play for me as to where we finish up not so much the addition of a new striker. I still think Billy and Clarke can score the goals to take us a long way this season but we need to attack teams and play on the front foot. I've only seen the first two games and the two holding midfielders seem to make us more likely to concede if anything. Play Duffy, move it quicker, create chances and Billy does the rest (and clarke when he's back on it - maybe)

I think Hogan is on far too much wages for us to consider him

Villa might sell him for £10 million or so but I don't think they'll loan him out and foot most of the bill for the privilege

I like the optimism - I'm feeling better than I did this time on Friday - but we're still quite a way off having a top 6 squad. Work in progress though.
