We desperately need to sign a proven striker or we will be struggling for goals this season.
I was hoping for 2 quality strikers over the summer to compete with Billy and Leon this season.
After the sale of Brooks plus the agreed budget we should have spent big on at least 1 striker around the £5 million mark.

Let me spell this out for people because there is too much deviation from the truth. Wilder has a way of playing that has worked for him thus far. It was as effective as it was entertaining and I can’t thank him enough for what he’s done. Here’s the ‘however’.....

We are now playing in a much tougher division with far better players and managers up against us. What worked before is now limited at this level and we need to adapt our approach to give the opposition a challenge. It worked for the first few months because we were an unknown entity. We’ve been sussed because we do the same thing every game. It may be aggressive and offensively minded but it’s rigid and lacks flexibility. It needs tinkering with. Why can’t some people see it?! Why can’t Wilder see it?! It’s been evident for 23 of the last 30 games.
