This was a problem area last season after 10 or so games when Stevens’ honeymoon period of playing alright soon wore off and he showed his true lack of ability.

Wilder has failed to address this area over two transfer windows now (this and January) instead focussed on collecting a load of wank midfielders to fill the huge hole left by Coutts, and more recently getting sidetracked on chasing players we’d never any hope of signing when clubs with financial power showed an interest in them or the realisation they wanted more money that we can afford to offer.
