We will remain devoid of ideas whilst ever Clark wanders around the pitch, how the bloke deserves a shirt, is captain and never gets substituted is beyond me,
He never makes a run, his hold up play is dire, never gets beyond anyone, never shows

Great description of fans’ favourite Bladey Bill.

Good job Leon had a shirt long enough to score 19 goals, including two in an unforgettable day at the Sty.

Well good luck to the lad playing hoofball under baseball cap twat pulis.
Your career may or may not flourish.
I suspect the latter.

Would rather Marquis than Bradshaw but can't see us going for either, Wilder seems adamant to go for Championship players or Premier League loans. Totally get the approach but hope we are able to make it succeed as a decent lower league player to develop would be better than the status quo.

Bladey Bill as you describe him and Clark are both tarred to the same brush.
Great early but both dropped standards towards the end of last season and I cannot see them being good enough to take us forward. I hope they are but doubt it.
Believe it or not most professional sportsmen get worse as the years catch up with them.

Living in the past is good for some but I want our club to develop and in my opinion we have to replace and improve.

We are all aware that he is called Martyn not Martin?

that means we're signing nugent great

Nugent has said he doesn't want to move from Derby mate, so unless he has a change of heart I think we will dodge that bullet. Plus he started for them against Reading so perhaps is in Lampard's plans this season.

Frustrating isn't it?

I do feel a but sorry for Chris on this. He got us out of League 1 in style but not even with a top end League 1 budget. He widened the pay bands slightly, but not much last season and now has to push us on to the next level whilst trying to compete against lower end PL wages. It's bonkers, but sadly the world in which we now live.

Something will have to give at some point, unless Chris starts doing his shopping elsewhere again.

Extremely frustrating.

We refuse to budge on wages to avoid upsetting the other little darlings in our squad who, given half a chance, would be off in a shot for the first half decent offer.

It's as good an excuse as any other

When Real Madrid break the World transfer record again I'm pretty sure the player will be earning more than his new team mates

It will be up to his new team mates to prove that their next contract is worthy of improvement

If not they'll be sold and another World record transfer will come in

If you want to improve pay the wages necessary, if you want fake principles to hide your lack of ambition get out of the top two divisions because you don't belong there

Or Jay Dasilva.

Pretty much exactly what I want us to do.

If Bryan is unlikely to go in at LWB then I'd like us to sign one, let Lafferty go and RND leave on loan.
Agree with Ricky here.

This is Wilder’s 2016 ‘Hussey moment’. If he thinks that we can go a season with Stevens down the left, then we need to reassess our expectations.

It is our weakest position and one with least genuine cover - a kid we fully expect to go on loan and a senior pro the manager never picks regardless of the form of others.

If Bryan isn’t there to also push Stevens then this is Wilder’s second mistake of the season, after Saturday’s set up.

I must admit, I’m not overly keen to see us pay 5.5m on a player worth just 250k 12 months ago and with little to no resale value after a couple of years. More volatile than lastminute.com shares, for those that remember!

Not a matter of .budging this is the way Wilder works (do you want to change manager ).
Wilder is right the level we're at it is the best way. .Different in premiership as star players will always get top wages as against run of the mill defenders of which
( defenders ). there are plenty in top division.
Wilder will know this and when we are in a position to do this he will or is it you have lost faith in him.

As a 'financial adviser' this will be an easy one for you - where does the money come from to 'pay the wages necessary'?
But then, you won't be aware of the Bryan Robson era will you?
