I’m in between contracts, got owt going Crabby?
When they come back to you, ask about 10000 blue balloons with a dead dolphin on them.
QPR were fined £42 million for going over FFP rules. Would Wednesday survive that?
They may not have quite gone over it yet, but if this D Taxis type bullshit (which clearly breaks the rules) gets backdated and taken into consideration, it'll mean they did go over the threshold during this period, surely?
They're hemorrhaging money at the moment. It's rate good.
Layman’s sums would suggest they have to lose less than £9m this season (think they’re already at £30m over the last 2 years). They lost £21m last season. They’ve got to shed £12m this season from last years numbers to avoid FFP.
Forgive my sums.
But have they already breached the sums? I don’t know. I hope so.

From what I've read from posters on here, the fine wasn't 42 mill cash in one payment. The EFL have also clearly said they aren't imposing fines that will cause the club problems with carrying on. So yes, they will survive any fine they get.QPR were fined £42 million for going over FFP rules. Would Wednesday survive that?

Rules changed last season so clubs can be demoted and relegated if they breach ffp. Transfer Embargo is just the first punishment. And their punishment?
QPR type fine, pay a third of it over 10 years.
Pffft.
No real punishment, it's the Pigs Way.
I’d argue it’s fairer. If a club breaches FFP to get into the PL, they should be demoted, because they cheated to get there. I think that’s a more appropriate punishment than fining a club, because they can afford the fine if they’re in the PL. If they cheat and don’t go up, transfer embargo for a least one season, even if they sort their finances out, longer if they’ve blatantly taken the piss.Rules changed last season so clubs can be demoted and relegated if they breach ffp. Transfer Embargo is just the first punishment.
But 'the players and fans are in no way to blame for the situation and therefore should not suffer'Rules changed last season so clubs can be demoted and relegated if they breach ffp. Transfer Embargo is just the first punishment.
Are you saying they should? If PA takes full control and beaches FFP would that be our fault? There’s a fine line between punishing errant owners and punishing those with no control over what the owners do. But there does have to be some kind of punishment or FFP is unenforceable. It’s not easy. But 'the players and fans are in no way to blame for the situation and therefore should not suffer'![]()

I don’t think any of us would want them to fold
I'd love to see them fold. It would be fucking hilarious.I don’t think any of us would want them to fold
I can sort of see your point, it would be hilarious to shut them fuckers up, on the other hand no more derby days, no more banter.I'd love to see them fold. It would be fucking hilarious.
Oh right, I thought it was ‘any club breaching FFP should be put out of business providing it's the pigs and not us’ post. We’ve got so many things to trigger us I lose track.I think you may have had a 'woosh' moment.
I assumed Harrisblade was referring to Scudamore and Sir Trev stitching us up over the Tevez affair. Don't EVER forget that releagation wouldn't have been fair on the CheatinAmmers fans.
I had a pint of it once. Made my stomach jumpy but then I threw down a pint of Duff and it stopped. They had it on in my local earlier this year but "someone"had prior knowledge this was happening & was ready to deface the pump....
