Yeah SM for sure Dav... point being that, it’s little oversights like that, (not blaming Chris by the way, Radio Sheff should mute the mics) where stuff gets heard by thousands, that really shouldn’t be... happens with politicians and the like regularly doesn’t it...@stringjunior will be getting the master audio tapes from Mrs Stringjuniors high level connections as we speak.....
These tapes will disappear shortly, be assured of that. Its not something @mrsstringjunior would normally get involved in so Big Vern is on his way to sort it.

It will not be as easy to bring players in from W. Europe soon if Brexit goes ahead. Then where will Brentford be?

Will they ask the Pig bloke if he’s made enquiries about the transfer embargo yet? He really ought to find out before the window closes...

He said he hadn't learnt all the steps yet, but hopes to soon. He wouldn't comment on the Transfer Lambada...…………..

He was discussing something with warney about agents, heard paul say something along the likes of "it's strange, because I heard he was available"
Dane, yes possibly, to be frank I think the ‘top table’ should have probably been better off having those types of specific conversations out of ear (or mic) shot...but whatever, no drama, Chrissy 1 Joss Stick 0

He was asked whether there was a transfer embargo in place and said he couldn’t answer the question, thereby pretty much answering the question :)
Terrible loss of face being an owner from the Far East ... totally misguided approach to keeping something like that out of the public eye... Joss Stick is on message though isn’t he... the muppet.

This bloke was trying to say, 'why don't we scout Europe?' What he said was, 'our scouting system is rubbish.'
Wilder reeled off a list of signings he'd made including, O'Connell, Fleck, Duffy, etc
Also the questioner asked why aren't we picking up more players like Brentford, Wilder knew all about them including they have a building with a staff of 150 that purely works on their European scouting network.

Playing devils advocate - imo £5million invested in our scouting infrastructure would yield a much greater return than signing waghorn for example. You could pay 20 scouts 50k a year for the same price too to run it.

Imo this is an area we need to be much smarter in if we want to avoid paying huge wages to known quantities in the Uk going forward.

N.B I’m not slating the good work Chris and his team have done for us in getting the quality players we have in.

A “scouting network” is a lot more than just paying scouts.

I know. But I’d suggest for example waghorns 5million plus fee and 20k per week wages over a contract would be more than enough investment to set this network up and cover the running costs.

It would act as a long term strategic plan In a similar way to the investment in the academy was.

Look at Brentford, sold us Egan for 4m, signed someone nobody has heard of from France to replace him for 1.8m.

They have some setup there, though a few have turned out to be pretty crap.

All London clubs - even Brentford - benefit from being in That London when it comes to attracting and retaining foreign players. The danger for us of going down that route is ending up with a bunch of unhappy, homesick players who no sooner get here than they are looking for an exit. Of the foreign players we have had I would say the only unqualified successes were Northern Europeans (Borbokis is perhaps the obvious outlier). .

An honourable mention though for Jean-Philippe Javary, who may have done nothing on the pitch but went through Sheffield's female population at an astonishing rate.
