Maybe you feel like the above is the kind of behavior that should be forthcoming from a mayor and a representative of a supposedly serious city that wants to attract international investment, but I don't. He shows a total disrespect to the history and heritage of the position and therefore towards those who held it before him. It isn't about if you like or dislike Trump or hate the Tories, its about the image of Sheffield that it gives off to the rest of the world and the lack of respect he shows to the history of the position by prancing around wearing a sombrero and having his photos taken trampling all over City Hall.

The whole thing makes Sheffield look like a laughing stock.

I doubt the antics (or not) of the ceremonial Lord Mayor will have too much impact on whether businesses choose to invest in Sheffield. Taxes, infrastructure, workforce etc will be important. The bloke seems like a bit of a prat but he has spotted a route to celebrity and is working it, fair enough.
