They won’t sign both Vydra and Bamford. I think they’ll sign Abraham on loan
If Abraham is available for loan we should go all-in for him. The guy is absolute quality and fits perfect next to Clarke/Mc Goldrick/Sharp. If we sign Abraham I think we can make it to the play-offs.

How do you think our midfield will play against this lot.

I don't know much about them, apart from Clucas, Dyer (ex Blade of course) and Routledge. Didn't even realise Routledge was still playing? He's been a good player in the past, no idea what he's like now. What I do know is that all of them got relegated with Swansea and Swansea have spent zilch so far in the transfer window. I suspect there's a deep depression hanging over the Vetch Field (if they still play there?) and they've lost all their recent pre-season friendlies. They'll be feeling sorry for themselves and cowering in fear when we set about them next saturday. I think it will be the easiest fixture of the season and Blades will win 3-0. Which will provoke a flurry of..."who says we need some more players?" posts on here. And I'll answer that one now by saying, "I do".

I agree and do think we have enough already to batter the swans. They're not in a good place atm. Would be the perfect start for us.

Good quality midfield that. But like you say, they'll be down and deflated. Really do think we could run amok against them if they crumble.

From what Paul hurst says, he will be going. It will probably be either derby or boro as leeds seem to be signing vydra and bamford.

You really think they will roll over and let us tickle their bellies live on TV.

Those three players you mention have in the past had good performances against us,i even remember Clucas having a great game when he played for Mansfield in a cup game against us,we should have signed him.

£20m?
Get fucked
Think he was being flippant.

He’s my glass half full theory:

We’ve got a £5/6 mil bid in.

Waghorn has had his head turned.

Wilders confident he wants to come.

Ipswich know this too but are holding out for more.

They won’t get more.

Waghorn will be a blade by the end of the window.

The bloke is simply trying to get the fee higher. They have low hopes for the season and somaremin no rush to sell.
They think we will become desperate and raise our bid.
It’s going to drag on unless we do raise our bid, or Wilder looks elsewhere.

If we’ve put £5m on the table then we won’t be going much higher.
Ipswich...like Southend last season, are risking losing the bid they have in the hope someone else will offer more and start a bidding war.
However, it seems nobody else has actually placed a bid. And if we walk away they are then left with a very pissed off player, and down on a fee. Yes someone might come in later, but by then they will also be more desperate and be open to lower bids than the original one.

Personally...hope Wilder moves on. He will have other targets

I’d set them a deadline of Tuesday to accept or reject then move on. Can’t let this rumble on much longer.

I am sure Chris has other targets [beyond Gallagher, Hogan and Nugent] but he is doing a bloody good job of keeping them out of public knowledge. I would be tempted to put in a couple of bids elsewhere on Monday and leak them immediately. This might force Ipswich's hand if they think they could lose out on 5M [or whatever we have bid] as we are going to spend it elsewhere, and more importantly it might make Waghorn kick up enough of a stink for them to relent?

Hopefully we have an exciting week ahead.
