Derby are playing a dangerous game if they really want Waghorn.

They have Jerome, Vydra, Nugent and soon to be Marriott. They'll have to get rid after they sign Waghorn leaving them in a very poor bargaining position when it comes to flogging probably Vydra.

I would take Vydra or Jerome, especially over Nugent.....also reported today that Waghorn to Derby could involve £4m plus 2 players......could be an interesting merry-go-round between the 3 clubs!

Let’s be honest here there’s a ladder in terms of football. We are behind teams such as Derby / Boro etc but we also ahead of teams like Ipswich etc.

He will want to move as we are a club making attempts to go on the way up. It’s more if a team is willing to sell you it shows the ambition and the team buying players showed there ambition also. Whether it works out is another thing but it shows how far we have come.

I would think he would be an excellent signing but CW will only pay what he thinks is correct. He won’t be bullied into high fees and will bid accordingly. He could do a Harry Redknapp and say sign him whatever it costs it goes wrong and the club is in trouble.

Seems that Derby will sign Marriot and try for Waghorn using money from selling their existing strike force, such as Nugent.

How ironic would it be if Derby get Marriot and Waghorn and we sign either Nugent or Jerome! I'd rather Marriot or Waghorn but I can see Jerome or Nugent doing a decent job for us, if we signed one of them.
