Think he's had enough accurate info, how many things have actually come off I'm not sure. I'm not going in to bat for him though because TBH I'm getting sick of his inability to answer clearly and provide any details at all.

Ego boost init.

Me mate Chris reckons there’s a chance of a signing being announced today. I’m not claiming to be ITK but I’ve no reason to doubt him as he’s well connected to the club. :D

UTB!

Just skipped on there to see what this Twirlo is saying and frankly it's nothing more than gibberish.

Even when one or two have asked for clarification the replies are incoherent nonsense.

What has he got right that renders him ITK btw?

He's pushed himself into position ahead of young Max, the Spanish accountant and Strappy.

Well, Twirlo, the Spanish Accountant, Strappy, Dave 78, and Sunjhi are ALL wrong.

No deal done, no fee agreed.

Heard yesterday someone was having a medical today, and edged their bets trying to be ITK is my guess.

Yep, these counterfeit ITK posts are worse than the wanker posts IMO. Even Adkins' former tealady crawling out the woodwork on this one.

Waghorn is in Ipswich squad for game at MK Dons tonight so no deal imminent. Seems some of the ITK are not ITK.

Nottingham press reporting that Forest have entered bidding. Derby also sniffing. Ipswich now supposedly talking 10 million! For me we need to move on and not waste valuable time a week before the season. If what we are willing to pay they have turned down x 2/3 times we need to move onto the next target.

He'd improve us but late 20s for a player who has had one good season at this level the fee seems way too much. Think we need pace and he does not really offer that. Just my opinion of course.

Tend to agree, this has been dragging on far too long. It seems we've simply prepared the platform for someone else.

I wasn’t fully convinced he represented value for money at around £5million. Any more than that and we are mortgaging the future for a decent if not spectacular player.

Move on. We’d be as well saving the money then going to 7,8,9m for him - where’s the upside in that deal other than adding a striker who got less goals than Clarke last year.

Let’s see what else is out there even if we have to go on loan. The fees are getting ridiculous now.

I actually think he represented great value for money (at under £6m) and he would have lended a lot to our team. I always doubted our ability to get this one done with some of the heavyweights in this division preying overhead. I heavily suspect we’ve missed out on this one.

Like I say, I think it’ll be impossible with our budget to buy proven Championship strikers in their prime. We have to go for Prem loans, lower league, or (the unlikely) overseas options.

The longer it goes on, the worse our chances of signing him get. I was hoping it would be done today.

If we do miss out then we should go and get Adam Armstrong and keep trying for Gallagher.

I still think we might sign another 2 strikers after McGoldrick. What I expect Wilder to do is start the season with 4, see how it goes and then decide whether to loan another striker or not, as the loan window is still open until the end of August.

No doubt wilder has a few more options to go back to if ipswich arent playing ball with a fee wilder thinks hes worth!

For what they're quoting (plus his wages), you'd think two of Hogan,Armstrong and Gallagher are attainable (be it a mixture of perm and loan).

Working our way down to the best before self. We won't do anything apart from shoe string under current regime, not Wilders fault. Last year we thought Waggy was bellow us.

What does it stand for - Internet Trolling Knobs?

Everybody in the league ,apart from three , got less than Clarke last year .

The much lauded Hogan and Gallagher ( on here, that is ) came nowhere near with their combined total which was about the same as Waghorn on his own .

It's all very well to say " let's see what else is out there " - the answer is fairly obvious to me ,but maybe you have some excellent suggestions to make ?

Not suggesting i can do better than wilder but genuinely if you think 10million for waghorn on the back of a decent season and pushing 30 represents value for money - fair enough. It doesn’t imo and I don’t believe we have that money to spend anyway or that wilder would blow 10m on one player. If we could get him for 5m I think he would improve our squad and prospects for next season.

I’d suggest spending half that amount on an international scouting network and picking up some players that are affordable and won’t be asking for £40k per week.

My personal choices would be Armstrong if he’s available for 2-3mil and maybe look to get a decent prosepect from a top club on loan. Then use the remaining saved money on a decent creative midfielder

Shoe string?
Ignoring that we've broken our transfer record to carry on your tedious moaning.
£600k upfront out vs £4m upfront in, and yes I love moaning and will continue to until we get responsible owners with enough brass to make us competitive in today's market. We are lucky to have CW without him we, sorry I would be moaning tediously about our 8th year int L1.

Being a little club in the way we are run might float your boat but I've got ambishun. Looks like forest might have let us do all the hard work then swept us aside with a bid we are not going to match. Hope I'm wrong but that's how I see it

Treeton said there was no done deal. He didn’t say there was no prospect of a deal. There is now knee-jerking because people have misunderstood the ‘announcement’ today and blown it up into something it never was.

But but but but, Sunjihi said.....

Some fans just show their immaturity in such circumstances.
