Not sure about 'tomorrow', but likely in the near future given the way things are going.

You think all this is news to CW and it will tip him over the edge and walk? deary me...

The Bettis appointment is a CW appointment, in his meetings with both owners when he got assurances for this season he specifically asked for Bettis to be appointed, CW will only speak to Bettis who will then speak to and deal with both owners, CW will be able to get on with his job while Bettis deals with all the crap. CW is more than happy and is going nowhere anytime soon.

Stephen Bettis has been a BL board member since September 2017.

Well he was working with the club in an advisory capacity since Brannigan went - December 2015? - before being given the CEO job. Hardly a Wilder appointment.

100% a CW appointment, When CW had a wobble when other clubs were circling he met both owners, wanted cast iron assurances for the future, he also wanted Bettis in as COO, when this was agreed he signed the new deal.

Even Wilder said in his interview when he said he was delighted he was back and it was something he had spoken to the board about, that alone should tell you he personally asked for him.

You circle this forum ready to jump in on something, desperately seeking likes, desperately trying to look itk, desperately trying to look superior. You know naf all, you google and find things on the net to try and back you up, it eats away at you that people on here are actually in touch with and know the goings on at the club. Never mind things may pick up for you one day, keep that chin up.

He was already with the club as a director. He'd been with the club since December 2015. How could he be a Wilder appointment. When CW wasn't here until 6 months later? You even say he "was back", which surely intimates he'd already been here. He's a McCabe man. If Wilder hits it off with him that's great, it would appear to strengthen the McCabe team, which is fine by me.

Bearing in mind what you've posted as fact before, it's hardly surprising I tend not to take onboard much of what you claim.

Here's an example,

"I believe the prince put in some initial funds at the start which would cover any agreement initially, obviously he would then have to keep investing over the seasons, I am told he has not, KM has been investing over the past few years and the prince has not matched this investment. KM has been trying to get rid of him for years but this has only come to light now because of the prince triggering this clause but this is not a new thing, they have been at loggerheads for a few years now.

You don't have to believe a word I say and you probably don't but it is right. When this saga is over it will all come out in the washing and people will see how little the prince has put in our club. They will be shocked that they have been backing the wrong horse."

I put a raft of information on that thread, from documents filed at Companies House, to press reports to McCabe interviews which show you were wrong. You never responded. Wonder why.

Instead, you seek to rely on the pathetic "likes" and " itk" claims to deflect.

Everything I posted was fromother sources all in the public domain, all you've posted is stuff you assure is is correct, that's ITK, no? Despite it being arrant nonsense.

You can't back any of it up yet appear to suggest legal documents filed at Companies House prove nothing.

You could do with reading the Judges comments, or is he wrong as well?

He was recently reappointed at the request of CW having been working in the states for twelve months, please keep up.

I know full well he has. ( It was on the OS , in the news and on here) He's one of McCabes team on the BL board, has been for a while. It's good therefore that Wilder sees him as ally.

So when CW says “I’m glad he’s back” as quoted in the local paper, Chris is already on the Sagres?

‘He’s back’ implies a return.

We saw how prolonged transfers can be last season. We had Leonard drag on for 2 windows and so did Holmes. I know fans get impatient and get bored.

I believe CW said himself he’s close to 1 or 2 in an interview and also we have a few bids in.

Normally if bids are in SUFC believe they have a chance to agree the few eventually and CW trying to get the most out of his money.

I believe we will only with 3-4 players anyway.

if Wilder walks tomorrow, couldn’t blame him

Can someone summarise what's happened in the last few days to bring on this kind of talk?

For those of us who cant be arsed/don't have time to trawl through 15 pages of the other thread....

From the court paper, my emphasis added

“In his first witness statement dated 12 June 2018, Mr Tutton says that being assured of a transfer budget was a key reason why the club's manager extended his contract. Although spending on players was in one sense discretionary (in that there was no obligation on FC to buy), in practical terms it was essential, in order to avoid unsettling the manager, the risk that he might decide to leave (whether in breach of contract or not), word leaking to other clubs that FC is in financial difficulty and the club's playing staff not being strengthened. This in turn would tend to de-motivate the club and its supporters, thereby causing further financial problems in the future. Mr Downes summarised this by stressing the importance generally of confidence among the players and all those associated with a football club. It is somewhat ironic, in view of these arguments, that Sheffield has chosen to pursue this application, which will no doubt attract publicity, rather than submit to one or other of the funding alternatives that UTB offered.”

That said,it seems likely that the Brooks cash will likely guarantee the original cash asked for (£2m), so I guess it depends on how much more of that Brooks cash he feels is needed. I don’t think he’ll go based on what I’ve read in the court paper.

Hang about. Who is 'Sheffield' and who is 'UTB'?

Sheffield is McCabe and UTB the prince,..............
Or they could be Hanzal, and Gretal as it’s getting more like a fairy story every day

Surely more concerning is what the judge said later on in the court paper

'In my judgement it is wrong for UTB to characterise the spending on new players as something that is unnecessary. I accept Sheffield's evidence that in practical terms, in order to sustain morale at the club and to avoid a collapse in confidence it is important to invest in new players to strengthen the squad. That is obviously so if one of the club's best players is about to be sold.'

There were other concerns for me in some of the arguments UTB made, which were that the assurances to the manager on budget were unenforceable and UTB had given no commitment to finance the improved budget.

There was also a suggestion (not sure by who) that budget shortfalls could be made by sales of players (ie not just Brooks).

The only way he walks is if the gruesome twosome go back on their word regards transfer funds. Can't see that happening can you?

Listen to every interview from all our managers from the last few years and you will hear exactly the same phrases.

“Bids in for playerS”

“Close on 1 or 2”

“These things take time”

“Won’t just buy anyone”

“Quality not quantity “

“Want the right players”

“There’s always the loan market”

It’s as though they are reading from a script.
