Should England get past Columbia in the first Word Cup knockout game they are then due to play their quarter final game at the same time as the Blades play their first friendly up at Stocksbridge Park Steels. I went to Stocksbridge last pre-season and it was an unusual but very enjoyable occasion where you are very close to the players. What’s it to be?

I was taking a wild guess he may be from there, could was both games due to both heads!??

Actually just looked and I'll be in Sheffield that day so I may pop over to the old town for the game

I wonder if it would be a massive ballache to change the kick off to 1pm since it clashes?

They may as well just move the kick off time. The players will want to watch the England game as well

Move the kick off time anyway because they’ll be some reyt bollocks if they don’t. ;)

Stocky want the kick off time moved, it depends on what United say. This is my claim to being ITK for once :D

Always look forward to the Blades coming to Stockbridge so I'm hoping that if England do get to the QF then the match gets moved. If I go to Bracken Moor this weekend I'll ask the question!

IF it comes down to it, I think I'll be watching England in a very winnable World Cup quarter-final, rather than United in a training session against a Sunday league team.

Obviously we would have to run it by FIFA first.

No wrong mate. SYP will need to be consulted. An early kick off will help them as they will be able to close the bar at Stocksbridge and herd fans onto trams promising them they will be able to see the England match whilst making sure the trams stop at Swillsborough corner for the next 3 hours.

Stocksbridge v Utd now Friday night, I'm hearing, to avoid a clash.

End of thread :)

Neither. England will be on their way home by then and watching United's U23's play a friendly in a shitty village half way between Hillsborough and Barnsley doesn't appeal either.

As of last night, United wouldn’t want a Friday night however early kick off Saturday is proposed.

First team, like always, in a picturesque village on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

Wilder will play the first team squad split into each half of the game. Stocksbridge is not a shitty village and proceeds from the game will help out a local semi professional club that has always had strong links with United.
