So with the circa £12m we get as a down payment and the already agreed transfer budget ... am I right in thinking Wilder will have upwards of £15m to spend?

The question is: will he?

What happens to the ‘internal wage cap’ we have? Players who’s cost £5m+ generally demand good wages. And apparently that upsets the apple cart and squad togetherness.

Will we make another derisory bid for Conor Coady? Will we still rely heavily on loans? Are the upper echelons of English football on the horizon?

would the club's finances be any better off if the majority of any Brooks sale gets handed to Wilder to spend?

We'll still be fishing in the same pond because if we decided to enter £4-5m territory, we'd need to up the wage ceiling to a level we aren't willing to - above 20k p/w.

So it's not like a huge number of players have suddenly become attainable for us who weren't previously.

We might just be able to sign a couple more on permanent deals, if we want to. But the thing is, loans are often the best quality options.

Last year McCabe and Princey had to put in £4 million apiece to keep things running, they wont want to do that again

That is £8 million gone, Desso repairs, new Advert Boards, some fucker lost the remote for the big TV so thats another £32

And a new Fax Machine (just for TD that one :) )

A couple of League One players should see off the rest

20 years of McCabe and the same old shite

I thought that being allowed to use money from transfer income was part of the agreement between our potential owners that helped persuade CW to stay.
Thought I'd read it sometime back in the Star (but now can't find it :()
Can anyone else help track it down?

Then there's the bar tab for all the Rallies in the Hotel....

Didn't Wilder say he doesn't want players in the dressing room who are earning considerably more than their teammates?

Surely spending the Brooks money on a couple of quality additions will mean that very thing will happen? Good quality players don't come cheap.

Need a fans forum where Kev will make stiring speech receive a standing ovation and we are all reminded how lucky we are to have him.

Yeah we're probably going to have to spend a portion of it on wage increases across the board realistically if we want to compete at the top end of the league/ get anyone in over £3 million.

We couldn't buy a £5mill premier league outcast/ proven championship striker at the moment even if we have the money to spend because the difference in wages would put the apple cart into a chipper and set the chips on fire, nevermind upset it.
