I'm on holiday in Italy that week, funnily enough. So if it were at t'San Siro I could go.

The lad who took him into the curva was quite up front about it, drink what we give you to drink, take what we give you to take & clap when we clap. My mate, not wishing to lose face managed to walk out of the ground at full time, but was on all fours when we met him outside where all the butty wagons are, sweating profusely & his eyes rolling back into his head. A quite half hour, a couple of beers & he was back on it with renewed vigor.

100% true. He met a couple of English speaking inter ultras on the metro to the ground, they got talking & they took him in with them. They wanted to show him the real deal. No ticket was needed. The grappa was in white plastic containers with a handle like you have oil or pva glue in. They just kept passing it around & the ultras would smile and nod & he’d take a big swig and pass it on. Same with the m-cat, although it could’ve been mdma (he was sweaty gurning mess when we found him) the amount that he said was being passed about would’ve made it a very expensive night. Once he was in with them he had to see out the full 90, didn’t want to lose face & was never 100% sure whether they’d turn on him. If things kick off in the curva, they don’t stop until they get settled. No one comes to help you.

Brilliant.....He wouldn't have known his own name by full time! Could have got very messy, md is strong stuff and by the sounds of it he's shoehorned a full session into about 2 hours; legendary !!
