For clarity for all the young ones, Bill was a big fat snooker player. He used to sup many pints whilst playing his matches at the crucible.

Even more interesting, he had an irregular heartbeat or something, so he used to sup many pints whilst he was playing to calm him down. He wasn't allowed to take beta blockers due to doping regs and the alcohol served the same purpose for him. They reckon he could go through 10 pints during one session and he tried to claim the cost of this against tax at one point. HMRC didn't wear it, the bastards.

I watch some tournaments still but if/when Ronnie is out I lose all interest although I do like Mark Williams and it was good to see him beat the Scottish cheat.
